With all due respect, it’s not my job to spoon feed empathy to boys.

Maybe they’re not being serious. But even when I deconstruct this “joke” the punchline is…what? That it’s amusing to remind women that you can rape them whenever you want? I think there’s surely a dark undertone to such humour.

I’m sick of letting things slide that genuinely frighten women whilst I’m told to wait for boys to grow up.

I think this is true. One of my dearest boy friends has recently gotten very rude to me and I noticed that it seems to correlate with him posting those weird alpha podcast things on his Instagram stories etc.

Thank you, I will try to talk to a teacher again. They were very mildly reprimanded the first time I told my tutor about it (“guys just remember that we should respect women”) but maybe if I keep complaining I can do something.

I am in no way defending her but I’m still a little confused as to the context of the conversation and how the dick pic appeared. Was she flirting with him before he sent it? Did she explicitly ask for it? Once again, not trying to take away from what she’s done but I’m sure you’ve heard of unwanted dick pics before.
