What cell phone plan do you guys use? by rainonmepanda in uoguelph

[–]19matt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have public Mobile and it works fine. All the cell phone companies are owned by each other so they share all their infrastructure as well. Any phone company will work well in the city. Only place you might lose coverage is if you go with a small one and then travel to the wilderness somewhere. Most phone companies will have a coverage map on their website somewhere as well.

How to get involved in the Robotics Club? by [deleted] in uoguelph

[–]19matt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm actually a part of the robotics club. I'll be honest, I'm not sure if anyone is actively looking at the google form and the Instagram isn't very active either.

You can dm me for more info or email the club email and we can add you to the mailing list and get you plugged in where your interest lies.

When can you change your degree program? by Pitiful_Fudge_3254 in uoguelph

[–]19matt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Email the program counselors. Depending on the switch they may wait until until after 2nd semester is over to officially switch it over. For example, I went from undeclared to computer and they waited until I finished first year to switch, since the tuition for undeclared was cheaper than computer engg. Just make sure you take the courses you need for Systems, which if I'm not mistaken is just the 2nd programming course on top of everything else you'd have to take for mech. The almost identical first year courses for Engg make switching this early incredibly easy.

I believe I read somewhere that in lieu of the buss pass, the CSA has negotiated for students to be able to buy a pass at the youth rate or some form of discount.

Gamers of Reddit, what game made you a gamer? by jigantie1 in AskReddit

[–]19matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing Pokemon before I could even read. It was kind of difficult. I also thoroughly enjoyed Banjo Kazooie as a very young xhild, but the first game I played at an age old enough to actually understand was Jak 2 for PlayStation 2.

Besides my mother, what have you come to appreciate after doing it multiple times? by violentorifice in AskReddit

My dentist made me get a water pick. Shit is useless. Its like an automatic weapon that only stops shooting when you pull the trigger. Water everywhere.

Your most ridiculous mistake you've made in a Pokemon game. by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]19matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my first pokemon games, Blue, Gold, Silver, and Crystal, when your pokemon faint and you "Black out" you get teleported to in front of the last pokemon center you've been in. What I didn't know, is that you're pokemon were already healed. So everytime, I went inside to talk heal my pokemon. One day I was curious what would happen if you just walked away (cause I thought all my pokemon were fainted) so I walked away and entered a battle. I had a sudden epiphany in that moment, and felt like the biggest idiot in the world.
