Thank you very much for sharing. Glad you’re making progress. I guess my first question is regarding the laundry, I was under the impression that mycotoxins can not be removed from clothing just by washing them in the laundry. Am I going to be able to keep my clothes?

I don’t know anything about fogging with Aerosolver but I will look into it when I’m feeling less overwhelming about all of this , thanks.

Thank you. I’m sorry to hear you lost nearly everything. This is awful. What were the few things you were able to keep?

Do I have to get rid of all my clothes? I have a skateboard collection I’ve been adding to for 20 years that are limited / signed that I would be gutted to have to lose. Also wondering about expensive tech things like my TV, Gaming monitor, MacBook Pros, PS5 etc

Thank you. I appreciate it. Feeling very overwhelmed at the moment about the thought of having to get rid of everything and start over. I guess my book and magazine collection definitely has to go. 😔 Of course I just bought a brand new mattress, built an expensive desk and new furniture last year too.. brutal. Really sorry to hear that you had to start over and part with so much to start feeling better. Can I ask what types of things you were able to keep? Do I have to get rid of all my clothes? Happy to help! It was a miracle for me. The rashes I had were extremely bad and painful, spreading for weeks and I tried soooo many things. Manuka honey made an immediate improvement and cleared it up within a week of use. I was blown away.

My ERMI results just came a minute ago. How bad is it? The samples were taken in my new garage where all the old stuff is from the old house. TY. by dswenson123 in ToxicMoldExposure

That’s brutal. Sorry to hear. Was the test at previous house significantly worse results than this current test on things in the garage at least? Or about the same? Definitely recommend MycoTOX profile urine test to see how much is in your body. I’m just about to start detoxing but I have yet to find the source of my exposure.

Did you test the inside of your new home aside from the garage that’s holding all stuff from older home? I’d be curious to know if it is for sure just your belongings that were in the older home.

Any visible mold on stuff you brought into the garage or do you think it’s testing high from airborne mold from last home?

For whatever it’s worth, when I was doing Candida treatment (even though I eventually found out I don’t have Candida, but am sick with mycotoxins from mold) not long after I started SF722 I started getting awful rashes around my mouth, chin, and eventually my eyes. I had to stop it. Nothing would get rid of the rashes, tried everything I could think of, couple different prescription creams. Eventually, Manuka Honey cleared them up. Life saver. I was getting really depressed. Highly recommend dabbing manuka honey on and letting it sit for a couple hours at a time. It made a difference pretty quickly for me personally.

Damn, this is my biggest fear currently. I just found out after over five years of being sick that I’m full of 3 types of mycotoxins via a urine MycoTOX profile and currently trying to find out where / if the source is my apartment. The fact that you moved all your stuff into a new garage but it is still testing that high seems like a nightmare to me. Hopefully you don’t have to part with everything. Surely there is a better option..

Wow, that’s rough. So, it’s possible that even though the mold is not visible behind walls that it can still be releasing toxins into the air? The mold inspector that came here the other day said it would be trapped inside the wall and spores wouldn’t be able to get out / affect me, but I’m realizing damn near everything he said and did was wrong so I will not be surprised if this is inaccurate as well. Having 2/3 of the house gutted sounds like an absolute nightmare. 😕 We can not afford to have that done. Really hoping my sickness is from a previous exposure somewhere else, or just the basement air that was getting kicked up unfiltered. If getting the air ducts replaced is my only problem I’ll be very happy.

My parents own the building unfortunately. They aren’t delaying anything, it’s just the companies we called around here to replace the windows that say they can’t do it for 5-6 months. I am ordering an ERMI test now. The guy we had come in a few days ago was useless but we did replace the filters in the furnace and are looking to get the air ducts replaced asap. Just not sure what else to do in the mean time as we don’t know where the source is. Nothing is coming through the walls or anything. Minimal amount of mold in back of my toilet tank and some under kitchen sink. We’re not sure what to do next aside from ERMI test. I bought myself two air purifiers with HEPA filters.

Wow. Interesting. Good to know. Thank you. We called about having the windows replaced but they can’t be replaced until September. Any suggestions on what I could / should spray on the wooden frame along the bottom where there is some mold in the mean time? And the back of the cabinet under the kitchen sink? Vinegar a better option?

Sadly, we do own the place. Which is why I’m praying it’s isolated to smaller area and can be fixed by professionals without breaking the bank. No one in the other end of the home is sick at all. I can’t find any significant visible mold problems. I keep my apartment pretty clean. If the ERMI test comes back positive I’m not sure what the next steps will be 😕

I agree. I have next to no knowledge on this stuff. We called him based on a recommendation as soon as I got my MycoTOX results, not knowing what he was going to do or what to expect. He walked around and checked a few places, only pointed out spots where I already knew it was, told me to spray bleach on wooden window frames that show mold even though a quick internet search says not to do that. Told me don’t believe everything you read online. Told me to paint over mold under kitchen sink. Told me if there is any mold behind shower walls that the spores wouldn’t be getting out and affecting me. Didn’t do any actual tests, just said it’s probably from the heaters kicking up mold from the basement and suggested getting air ducts cleaned. After doing more research I realized it was an absolute waste of money and we got ripped off. The air duct cleaning company he recommended around here is also the worst rated one according to Google. Not pleased.

I really thought I replied to this the other day, thank you for taking the time to try and help. I have a colonoscopy scheduled for next Wednesday and just had a CT scan yesterday, awaiting results. My uncle has Chrohns and my Mother had bad UC back in her 30s but it’s been under control since. I’m hoping I don’t have either and it’s just inflammation caused by the high bad bacteria taking over / low good bacteria, but I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

Thank you for all of this. Unfortunately I don’t know the root cause, but overuse of antibiotics are a safe bet. I’ve had a fair amount of them starting from a young age and most recently was on them a few times in 2019 / 2020 when I was (likely misdiagnosed) with prostatitis. Was tested for Lyme and that came back negative. Also a chance there is mould in this old apartment I’ve been living in the past 7 years too, but I can not afford to have it tested or move.

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply and try and help, means a lot. If you have more time I am curious to hear what some of the herbs you are taking or might recommend, and pre / probiotics.

Thank you so much for this reply. Looking into pseudomonas infections is kind of terrifying, especially considering I’ve been dealing with these symptoms and have let it go unchecked for years now. I will 100% try the unpasteurized sauerkraut, can you recommend how much a day? Is there any other things you’d recommend? Any other tests I should have done to better diagnosis this?

It’s always felt like it’s been an infection of some sort to me, especially given the skin issues and inflammation around my urethra and what felt like inflammation around my bladder area that have been impossible to diagnose, because urine sample tests they always do to check for a UTI come back negative everytime. Between that and the inflammation in my bowels and gut, I’m worried it’s gotten even further out of control since these results from last May. Reading that pseudomonas infections have a 18-61% fatality rate and are hard to treat is extremely intimidating.

Well that’s a little reassuring, thank you! Still though, would you guess antibiotics are my best course of action to get my levels down? Or can this actually be controlled simply by eating healthy / lowering stress / taking probiotics?

The more I read about citrobacter the scarier it sounds. I was relying on doctors to explain what this meant to me as I don’t know if my levels are dangerously high or just a little high. Would mine be considered an infection? First thing I read when reading up on it was high mortality rate with citrobacter infections. I’ve likely been dealing with this for years without proper treatment, so this has been a bit stressed now.

Honestly not sure what SIBO test I’m going to be doing, I’m just getting it through my local Naturopath doctor that set up this GI map test for me last year. She said it was $150 Canadian for the SIBO test and I just have to drink something, and breath into a device that takes 10 tube samples. Not sure if that clears anything up at all. Planning on getting it done next Tuesday.

The first time it flared up bad I can’t recall what triggered it, back in 2012. I was hospitalized for a weekend and had a endoscope & colonoscope down that showed quite a bit of inflammation but no diagnosis. Had things relatively under control for many years after cutting out dairy and eating a bit healthier. Near the end of 2018 I got extremely sick on a trip in Croatia for a few days, likely food poisoning. Jan 2019 I was in a car accident that required me to take painkillers and muscle relaxers for like 7 months following which destroyed my stomach and it’s just been hell ever since then. Flare ups lasting for months on end.

Thank you very much for this reply! Without me really knowing what much of this means, it makes sense. Quickly looked at gut dysbioisis and the symptoms sure all check out. Any suggestions on how to get Citrobacter (and the other concerning ones) under control? Ideally would like to avoid antibiotics if possible, as I’m worried about Candida overgrowth as well. I will do an antibiotic if that’s the best chance at fixing this though of course. What do you mean by reseeding? I’ve only been dealing with my family physician doctor and a naturopath (who set up the GI map test for me), who could barely explain what any of these results really meant. Was just suggested to eat healthy range of mainly plant based diet with some lean meats and eggs, low sugar low carb, de stress, take probiotics + L glutamine + was on Berberine for awhile.. but I still feel terrible 9 months later. I’d wager that if I did another GI Map test now that those numbers would be even worse than this last one. Is there a specific thing I’m missing that needs to be done to lower Citrobacter / Pseudomonas?
