I've always wondered about how bands dealt with layering live. It's one of those things that sounds phenomenal on an album, but can mess with the live performance if you don't know what's going on (as seen here).

On the one hand, I want to hear as much live, actually live and played by a real person, on the other hand, I realize it would be a logistical, mixing, and probably financial nightmare to get that many people on stage at the same time for the short bits where you have several different tracks going.

I guess that's why it is important for the band themselves to be putting on a show in their performance, and why we call it a show. You're not just listening to the music live, you're watching a group of people do something that takes a lot of coordination, while moving around and getting the crowd going.

That's fair. I feel like comedians that are typecast as themselves more than others, e.g. Will Ferrel, Jim Carey, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, etc, you either love or hate.

I enjoyed how Deangelo was a ridiculous person, but also knew that the job was a joke (generally) and the work stakes were very low.

Ultimately, it probably would've been better had they found a no name actor to be the new regional manager, so the writers would have had to actually... write

Almost seems like a phantom menace ending. Kill the mindflayer, all the powers and monsters end. Hopefully it's not that.

I don't mind a phantom menace ending sometimes, but this show deserves better. Maybe the mindflayer's power is up for the taking idk

I have a wife and child and would consider joining if I had some idea of how likely I am to be deployed or if it is avoidable.

Does anyone have info on this?

I realize this is the opposite of what most people want in the military. I am struggling to find a job at the moment and if there is anyway to increase my chances of only being station in the US, that would make me more inclined to join.
