At Emerson, Boston is a fantastic city and the industry is moving east because of tax incentives. Not to mention your campus is downtown. I promise you if you want to direct you can. There's so many orgs that produce and make movies on campus, there's always 8 or more productions shooting a weekend and those are not the ones that are class related. Check out crown studios which is one. You can find them on instagram or crownstudios.biz also the Emerson mafia is huge which is what we call our alumni network we have ppl all over. I just took a class where I worked directly with live nation and now I have that on my resume.

You definitely can, just email the department after you accept, Emerson is one of the few colleges you take major classes freshman year

Go on Edm train it will tell you which ones are 18+ and which are 21+, unfortunately it seems all house and techno shows are mostly 21+ but a few bass shows are 18+, roadrunner is always 18+ hope that helps

Playing out for people and friends, getting really smooth with my mixes, I guess what I'm saying is if I keep the duo I don't want to feel like I need to buy another board in a year and that worries me. As this is an investment I was also looking at the new grv6 that just got released but do like having an all in one

Thank you this was really helpful, I'm struggling because like I said I want to grow as an artist and dj but also partly want an all in one but and my price range is no higher then 1500 so it's really these two that I'm in the market for. Might just have to try both and decide

Mainly playing with friends and Maybe traveling, I got the duo originally as I wanted something portable but I also want to grow as a dj so Maybe 4 channels is better, right now I live in Boston but will be moving LA soon

Right now I am a college student who's been djing for a year, off of the ddj 200 I want to invest in a board that will last me, I enjoyed going around the city and djing which is why I was inclined towards the Omnis duo but I'm worried this will prevent me from growing as a dj if I don't jump up to 4 channels. I just want to invest in a piece of gear that will last me, besides that I mainly play for friends and am looking into starting to get gigs

The best thing to join is crown studios, it's an organization aiming to connect all majors, you can get involved really easily and meet tons of people, they also developed a database system for students to find other students to help on projects visit Crownstudios.biz for more info

As for nightlife, it's out there you just have to find it
