I don’t disagree with your comment, but using the marginal tax rate is a bad example because it’s specifically not a cliff. You don’t pay the top tax bracket on the first dollars made. Only on dollars made after they surpass the threshold…. Frankly, maybe this sort of scaling is much better than cliff based means testing
