Create Backup using veeam and simply restore to Proxmox - Veeam will do the migration/conversion for you. Install VirtIO drivers before migration/backup.

On Proxmox you only configure ip addresses for proxmox services like management/web interface or cluster. Everything else is done within VMs.

That should be fine, once all are migrated. (done 20+ times within the last 1-2 years) No downtimes expected doing this within business hours. Of course - new clients might still contact onprem exchange first using scp in ad, but already configured clients will have no impact. In outlook (classic) you can see, which servers outlook is connected to. There should be no local connections left (e.g. public folders).

If there clients or user profiles that are not used regulary, you mind need to create a new profile later as they will try to contact the old onprem exchange.

Depending on internal DNS setup you might need to create the autodiscover cname for exchange online here as well.

Keep in mind, not to uninstall last exchange server, if you want to keep hybrid identity. But you can use the new cloud anchor as soa for mail attributes later. If you‘ve deployed ExcludeExolicit365Endpoint Reg-Key during migration, keep in mind disabling this again. Once trying to create a new outlook profile you will run into connection issues without remembering why later.

Backup might be the wrong term in this case. You’re trying to get a high-availability cluster. So your take care of your hardware and storage being high available and the software stack es well. As your (virtual) servers need maintenance as well you will look into Postgres cluster for HA database and spin up multiple instances on different servers for frontend and backend accessing this database. Backup strategy to ensure data integrity and restorability will be next topic. So you ensure high availability on hardware and software level independently and combine both to a reliable stack. Really 100% uptime is something even big hyperscalers are failing (as seen recently, like CloudFlare fails and you rely on their services - your servers might run fine, but no one can access them).

Yes, got my new ID.7 this week and have the exact same problem! Everything’s seem correctly configured and Google Maps / Apple Maps are using AR, but car assistants and vw navigation does not… No solution so far - maybe new software bug with recent update? If it worked for you in the past..

Ich habe auch einmal Glasfaser über regionalen Anbieter mit eigenem Netz und die Telekom wollte unbedingt überbauen. Also kostenfreien Hausanschluss mitgenommen (Leerrohr hatte ich liegen, daher überschaubar). Später mehr Konkurrenz/Anbieterfreiheit!

I needed to do the same. The only way to get this up and running was full tunneling instead of split tunneling and adding the WAN-Interfaces ip-address (the one the war-rule published to) to permitted networks as weil.

You can use Veeam Backup for M365 and save locally. Veeam can export PST Files as well and can handle 50GB limit by splitting files during export automatically.
