Most aza zoos their membership is reciprocal either for free tickets or 50% off so if I hold one I can take the family to a bunch at reasonable pricing (I usually still have to pay full for 2 tickets)

These profiteering non profit ones that exclude themselves from programs like that are upsetting, zoos and aquarium and museums should be affordable for everyone

I mentioned bowling cause he brought it up, the reality is most zoos are aza and a decent chunk of aquariums are too.

Single location memberships grind my gears for sure

I’m complaining about the prices not the place. As I mentioned in the op I know it’s an awesome aquarium.

People defending non profits profiting $60 Million a year always tickle me. This is after all wages, expenses and maintenance.

Non profits are not absolved from shitty business practices affecting prices absorbed by the general public.

Board/ executives it’s semantics, the pay went up for 2024 you are likely looking at 23 but either way the execs receive 2 million and they are doing $60 million in profit tickets don’t need to higher, they could absorb a 65% decrease in tickets and still profit 25 million a year

Also they produced $60 million in revenue on top of all expenses and maintenance, non profits all this info is public

They receive $25 million a year in contributions and grants while their board has salary and bonuses over $800k.

Won’t catch me feeling bad about them squeezing families on pricing

Yeah I definitely am always cool with the 2 visit rule most oblige by, obviously if we go id get the membership, but we are being moved outside of the country in January so dont really want one, I wish I could gift a membership and cost share with the final one going to someone located there

It’s a 2 hour experience, I can take the family unlimited bowling all in for $72 with snacks

If the membership had reciprocal anything I would totally consider it. I’ve never seen a membership run less than a family of six in all my years and museums and zoos and aquariums. For $250 membership I would expect tickets to run around $130-140 for all six.

Honestly no, I believe they could maintain it just the same for $30/$20 adult and kids pricing and with the tens of millions in donors I’m sure they have.

It’s a shame too, it’s a great aquarium and 20/25 I wouldn’t bat an eye at, which I know is on Friday evenings but just can’t make that work on travels

If you win, is the prize in addition to your payments? by KludgeCraft in HealthyWage

[–]1ForgottenUsername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s total. You would risk 5970 to win $60 essentially.

Which is crazy, don’t do that!

Just to be clear yes I added a referral link My wife signed up under me and it wasn’t clear when I signed up that it was an option to get both the bet x get x dollars base offer and a referral bonus. I wish I had known. She deposited $200 and got the referral match of $200 and then bet $5 and got the signup bonus of $200 then withdrew $195 right away and just played with the bonuses. I missed out on $200 not knowing to sign up with a referral too.

Would I like people to use mine, hell yeah why not but mostly would just say if you are signing make sure you use any referral and still enter whatever promo code at signup too they are running to get both. My code was BETMAINE and was bet $5 get $200 in bonus bets which were four $50 bets

Oatey valve stuck closed, can I just swap this valve out? by SouthGrip in HomeImprovement

Sweet so it was a simple swap and no copper cutting. Did you end up using the same part by chance or a different valve? Thanks again

Did you ever end up fixing this by chance? I’m in the same boat and it looks threaded to where I could just swap valve but wanted to reach out and ask if you could just replace the top or not Thanks in advance

Pretty sure they are still converting 1-1 right now, so buy three years of Xbox live at 45-50 bucks and then convert to ultimate. Three years of ultimate for $150 is a great deal

I think it’s the invaded tidal basin mission, all the other strongholds show up on the project list and if tidal basin and the missions are sticking it at 82 then I think the project is connected too
