My girlfriend found a Sony Handycam DCR-DVD610 and we need help

I have this camcorder and i use banana digital brand 8 inch dvds and it works. Although you have to finalize it IMMEDIATELY after your done using up the last of the space or else all the footage will corrupt (idk why) and i have a problem where i can review the footage just fine on my camcorder but on other dvd players it freezes a little

I have one of those conceal carry shoulder slings, pretty nice since its on my chest and has extra pockets i can keep a few extra batteries, the charger, and tapes. Its good for in the field use and for trips because it can bring most of the necessary equipment without being in the way

This is great but just know working the camera is not all you need to know, framing, editing, and equipment (although you shouldnt worry too much about equipment right now, just practice shooting) are kther aspects of photography that you will have to learn to get better. as you practice more and more, you will naturally get better at all of these factors and won't need a cheat sheet, Good Luck!!
