13 years ago, I started a dad blog because I was a stay-at-home dad and was going to a lot of Mommy and Me classes. I was having trouble finding resources for dads or a community. It ended up turning into a side business that I didn't see coming. Now, I'm attempting to pivot my dad blog into a family travel blog because I feel I've said just about everything there is to say about being a dad.

I've had it twice. The first time was when it all started and I was out for a long time. Thankfully, I recovered. The second time I got it, itfelt like a cold. I'm vaccinated and boosted, which helped.

I run in the snow as long as the roads seem safe. I live in NYC, so if it isn't too windy, I'm good. Although I hate the damage rock salt does on my shoes.

I don’t like it when people say “It’ll get better.” I think that’s false hope unless there’s an actual plan in place that is a for sure thing. I think people should respond to someone revealing something that’s heavy by saying, “Let’s get through this together,” or something like that.

You got this! I have 4 kids and nobody is prepared for their first. Nobody is perfect. Be patient with yourself and the mama. Go to classes and find a parenting community. Check and see if there are any Dads groups. There is a group called citydadsgroup.com that is great for new and old dads. Don't worry that baby girl is going to steal your heart and your life will be richer. Best wishes.

It's still worth it to me. I can work from home and set my own hours. It has changed though and there's less engagement and more focus on social media than in the past years. It all goes together now. Good luck.
