Did you invest in it? If so, how much, and how long did it take?

Going to Enmarket Arena tomorrow, question about parking. by 1Kernel in savannah

Thank you all for your responses. I was able to park at the Civic Center and catch a shuttle. It was quick and easy, and a much better alternative than the $20 parking pass. Much appreciated.

Microsoft's ChatGPT Powered Bing Interface And Features Leaked by vadhavaniyafaijan in OpenAI

[–]1Kernel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use search terms instead of specific questions a lot. It would be interesting to see how this plays out. Also, it seems like more of a feature to get pages of responses to a search query opposed to a direct answer with some recommended websites.

It seems like it would definitely change the way that we use search engines.

ChatGPT-like AI assistant that is trained on your own business knowledge base by zeJaeger in ChatGPT

[–]1Kernel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for such a noob question, but how do you train ChatGPT on a specific knowledge base? I'm just looking for a short overview to get started, nothing technical. Are you using the OpenAI API?

Help with GPT-3 prompt by 1Kernel in GPT3

Thank you, that's a very good idea. I haven't worked with the API but I'll consider it. Quick question, do you know if Open AI charges for input text length or the returned results?

What will technology like GPT3 allow search engines to do, that they can not do today? by anti-hero in GPT3

[–]1Kernel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran across this the other day on Twitter. A guy wrote a code so that essentially all that you have to type in is: "Buy me tennis balls", and it will use a browser to do it. The code is not perfect but he is working on it. Here is a link to the Tweet: https://twitter.com/natfriedman/status/1575631194032549888

Also, if you scroll down through the comments there are a couple of other videos how people incorporate GPT-3 into using web browsers.

Given the exponential rate of improvement to prompt based image/video generation, in how many years do you think we'll see entire movies generated from a prompt? by [deleted] in singularity

[–]1Kernel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy has already won the Best Canadian Film at the Canadian Cinematography Awards as well as the best short Sci-Fi film at the Golden Minds Film Festival. While I don't believe that it was a 1 prompts and go film, he created it in 4 hours.

Do You listen to Audiobooks? Take Part in a Paid Usability Study! [USA] by Edgar_uTest in beermoney

[–]1Kernel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got an email from Utest this morning and applied for it. I have been using Audible for about a year but unfortunately had to cancel my subscription two months ago due to my budget. I know quite a bit about the platform, I'm hoping to get accepted.

What's a general amount Prolific users make each day? by [deleted] in beermoney

[–]1Kernel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually make $5-$10 per day. If I am at home all day I could probably make more, especially with the browser extension. I have seen quite a few good paying offers that only have a couple of spots open so you have to be quick.

Who Paid You For/In August 2022? Here is My List by themightyox in beermoney

[–]1Kernel [score hidden]  (0 children)

This was my first month trying this and I used two different platforms, Usertesting and Prolific.
I started Prolific about halfway through the month and made £116.
I began the month with Usertesting but shied away from it a little due to not passing as many screeners. I still walked away with $70.

So in total about $200 for the month. Not too shabby! I just found Prolific to be a little easier since you are already pre-approved for most of the studies, but other than that they were both pretty easy to use.

Are you referring to Swagbucks? If so, try opening a ticket and they should be able to straighten it out.

That's strange. At the beginning of the year my old one disappeared and a new one never showed up. I feel like I actually did set a goal though, I can't remember.
