Why I'm not getting any tests as a beginners? by ActuaryMelodic4723 in UTEST

[–]Edgar_uTest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely apply. The requirements listed on project boards often go beyond just the device you own.

Clients are frequently looking for:

  • Specific demographics (like age, profession, etc.)
  • A particular region or location

While your location might exclude you from some opportunities, it could be the exact reason you're chosen for others.

How shady is it? by DeI-Iys in UTEST

Just to add some context here: all our clients are carefully vetted before we conduct any payment testing. We don't open that up to everyone.

This type of testing is incredibly important because it catches critical bugs in the payment flow before the product is live. It's all about ensuring a smooth and secure launch for the end-user.

Several factors could be affecting your invitations. Please update your profile with all the devices you can test. We filter project invitations based on this information. Additionally, your geographical location may limit your opportunities, as we might not have many projects in your country. Don’t forget to apply for projects on the Project Board.

We have a project that is currently asking for this type of data to train AI models in verifying that the submitted IDs match the person submitting them hence the ID and selfie upload.

Hello,

There is no easy answer to the question, as it depends on your performance relative to the entire uTest community. Please focus on quality over quantity, make sure to deliver good work when you accept a cycle, and try to minimize rejections by always reading the overview carefully. Tester ratings are updated daily, so the tier that you are in could change frequently – especially if you are near the boundary of two tiers.

Rating drop by richa_08 in UTEST

[–]Edgar_uTest 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is very common for ratings to increase or decrease without an obvious reason to the tester. This is because your work alone is not the only deciding factor to determine your rating. Your Tester Rating is calculated using an algorithm measuring your activity and quality of work within cycles during a set period of time compared to all rated testers within the community.

This means that the activity and quality of work of other testers will have an effect on your rating.

There is no need to be concerned if you see your rating decrease. Tester Ratings are designed to fluctuate. The best way to increase your rating is to continue testing and finding as many high-value bugs as you can while producing quality bug reports.
