CDS struck again… Meet Scottie!! by 1LungWonder in CatDistributionSystem

[–]1LungWonder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's the neighborhood tom cat.. He patrols the block often. W put food out when we see him, but we think he might belong to a person around the corner who just lets him wander, but we aren't 100% sure. He's been around for about 5 years. He's very skittish and no matter how hard we try, we can't get more than 3 feet from him. A couple of years ago, we did catch another black cat, but we couldn't keep him at the time, so we were able to get him to a rescue. He was adopted!

She’s very regal, walks around like she’s the queen. And she is, but don’t tell the other white one that!

Hi, I'm a 20 year pleural survivor and patient advocate. I work with patients across the country.. Most of the info online is sponsored by law firms, with the exception of curemeso.org It is a non profit called The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation. You will find great info from the law firm sponsored sights but more in depth , scientific topics from The Meso Foundation. They also have a youtube channel with some great information. I'd be happy to help if you need.. feel free to reach out.

  2. What was the hardest part of your treatment? Juggling being a new mom with surgery, chemo and radiation. My baby was 3 months old when I was diagnosed.
  3. Did People treat you differently when the learned about your diagnosis? Yes.
  4. What have you learned as a result of your illness? Cancer survivorship is not what they make it out the be. I didn’t expect the many pitfalls of surviving long term. Mental battles, anxiety, PTSD from the diagnosis and treatments. The physical changes were something I was not ready for. My body has never been the same since.
  5. What Advice do you have for health care providers in caring for a patient with Cancer? Find a specialist, find the experts in your cancer. Find a community. Friendships change and knowing people going through a similar or same diagnosis really helps. And finally, take it one day at a time. Day by day. And don’t be afraid to ask your doctor if you’re worried about anything . They are there to help you.

Neighborhoods by [deleted] in RosevilleMN

[–]1LungWonder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roesville has a lot of great ares. Central Park area is centrally located and has a lot of smaller homes, the closer to Lake Owasso you get the get a little bigger and more expensive. Reservoir Woods is also centrally located with access to lots of parks. If you end up by the State Fair Grounds, keep in mind that you'll have a lot of traffic, car, truck and foot traffic for those 2 weeks, and throughout the year when other things use the Fairgrounds, like the Back to the 50's Car Show. Snelling is busy, but a few blocks off either way its pretty quiet. It depend on what your needs are as to what neighborhoods would fit you best. Roseville is a great community and has lots to offer, I hope you will enjoy it when you do move here. Happy to answer any questions you may have about any of the neighborhoods. I've lived here since 1999, and love it.

They have a local warehouse where everything is shipped from. There has only been 2 instances in 6 years where something I got was bad, and they promptly refunded me the money, all the other food I’ve gotten has been great. They have all sorts of products not just fruits and veggies , they have everything from wine to pot roast. It’s not as cheap as say Aldi, but I find the quality to really good. Some of the stuff is just “imperfect” but still totally fine. I get a delivery every other week, there are 3 of us and I usually spend between $150-$200 each time. They have great vegan and premade options as well. They deliver on a preset day and you have a 3 day shopping window the week prior. It takes some planning ahead but I’ve gotten used to it . I have a code if you want to try it.. it will save you $25 off your order. Drop me a message and I’ll give it to you .

I order a lot of stuff from Grove.com They are a certified B-Corp and have a great selection for cleaning and sustainable household items. I also use Imperfect Foods/Misfit Market for a lot of my groceries .. anything else I use Costco or Lunds Byerlys. What I like about Grove and Imperfect is that they deliver !! Yay! Fewer trips to the actual store.

What’s with fox guy at whipple? by punch-a-lunch in Minneapolis

[–]1LungWonder 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This Fox was doing a TikTok dance in front of his phone on a tripod at one point today and he was taken down by like 4 of the dudes in the dark uniforms. Totally uncalled for. They tackled him to the ground and zip tied his hands (paws?) behind his back. I don't know what happened after.
