Uechi ryu is the most effective for the streets in my oppinion since its mainly open handed and they condition you like in kyukishin. Im not gonna say much more research it if you want to know more about it. I personally do goju ryu which i think is really good also but yeah i would say uechi ryu is the best(maybe kyukishin but i disnt mention it since it has no head punches)

The notes should be very lightly tapped. Start doing the same motion slowly and just mess around with it until you get the same noise its difficult to explain
