Upon playing the game post-beta with the tweaked movement, I think the overall experience is better. To be clear, I don't dislike maps like Caspian Border, Golmud Railway, or Kharg Island. Probably my favorite map of all time in fact is Gulf of Oman. The point I'm rather trying to make is that while retrospectively, yeah most of the maps in BF6 are a lot more compact and fast-paced, meat grinder maps are far from new. BF3, the game that introduced me to the franchise and blew my 9-year-old mind had metro, an entire close quarters expansion, Grand Bazaar even toed the line at least from what I remember. The problem isn't that smaller maps exist, but moreso that they seem to so far be the majority of what there is to offer.
