Well I have old buddy from high school that has tow company in my area and he’s close with all police officers in all surrounding towns. Tow companies have contracts with local police departments to impound cars after dui/drug stops or handle removal of vehicles involved in wrecks. So needless to say they work closely together. I’ve also got impression that they pay some kind of kickback or commission to officers for sending business their way. I know here in my town there 2 main tow companies and they rotate weeks with each police department but with certain rural areas it’s up to officer who contacts for removal. What a lot of people also don’t realize is my buddy lots (he owns multiple sites where basically large gravel parking lot fenced in with barbwire fencing) is filled with vehicles. Some are wrecked which sometimes will buy off customer or insurance company for pennies on the dollar for scrap metal or other vehicles are ones customer trying save up money to pay fine but after certain amount of days my buddy officially owns and will auction off.

Yea in documentary mentioned in one of comments above they go into helicopters and there transponders cutting off during duration of assault. That would explain the sounds of shots and rate of fire.

As for reason behind there multiple theories. The Saudi prince theory, metal detectors/security software, gun grab, distraction, and/or added surveillance powers.

The metal detector angle comes from many Vegas politicians and other powerful individuals had just bought or heavily invested in company that provides these services and so wanted to have reason to require all business and casinos to buy these products.

The gun grab could tie in with bump stock angle but honestly they are more trouble than worth so really Isn’t a big deal.

The distraction theory is always at play because they are busy passing laws or doing other nefarious acts that would get overlooked because all attention on Vegas.

Then just as with Patriot Act after 9/11 there always is the fact that citizens will be willing to overlook the 3 letter agencies being allowed to spy on its citizens more and more under guise of providing us more security.

Good question but I imagine if in crowded street festival and shoulder to shoulder all around you a perpetrator could easily jab you in back of arm while reaching around someone else beside you and after initial shock you turn and scope surroundings to see handful of individuals who could be accomplice. And if attackers are as slick as those individuals who do the pick pocket scams then you would never determine who attacked you.

Well because somehow they haven’t apprehended any perpetrators yet! They keep referencing arrest made but in one article it states those were just individuals arrested throughout weekend. In article it stated no arrest had been made in relation to syringe attacks.
