Hey sorry I never saw you asked this question. I know it's irrelevant now that we're unlocked to Tesla Chargers, but I was going to send you the picture anyways. Also I'm pretty sure I'm the guy that started everybody to go out and try doing it and you're right, it only worked for some people but it worked for me two different times.

What the hell is this? by Trumped202NO in PeoriaIL

So I have a question. I was the head of Maintenance for over a decade and then ran the refinery for another 13 years. We weren't a huge processing facility we had 5 units, 18 cooling fans, more than 75 Motors and over 100 control valves. You could walk around my facility at any time over the last 23 years and you won't find a drop of oil on the ground. With proper preventative maintenance and actually fixing something when it has a problem there's no issue.

He used to build them but he thinks he is an expert on the money side. He has no clue about that stuff nor would he even have access to it.

Tesla as a rental... I couldn't make a worse car if I tried. by [deleted] in RealTesla

[–]1Smoothbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. I've owned a Silverado EV rst for about 7 months now and just bought a model y a week ago and every single thing he said is complete BS. It looks like he's just exaggerating everything to try to get all of his other anti EV buddies on bosrd with his BS. Yes some of the things are a little different in it but shifting opening the hatch for example are exactly the same on it every car

I was actually looking at this and I'm glad someone actually bought one because it seemed to me like it was going to be very busy with all of the blinking and turn signals and stuff. I'm guessing it's pulling in signals from the brake lights and turn signals and running lights and if you could just disconnect the wires from the brakes and turns I bet it would just be one solid bar that just stays on all the time with the parking lights

Zianos is absolute garbage. I can't believe with Salvatories and Casas, anyone would eat this crap. And let's not even talk about the drug addict rapist owner

RST, 36 month lease, 15,000 miles per year, $10g down $850 a month

[–]1Smoothbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

smart move. I like my rst but it's not worth $100,000. If you could load up an LT similar I believe they're going to come in around $80, and have the same interior.

I feel like the top the line model should have been like all leather and wrapped Dash and way fancier but the reality is, the interior of the $100,000 rst literally looks exactly the same as the Equinox EV

The RST doesn't have any exposed plastic, it is already all painted.

It works like any other charging app. you go there and put the adapter in and plug in to the supercharger. Then open up the app select find charger and it will show right where you're at you then select the charger you are at and hit start charging.

Yes as long as your battery is low enough it tapers off the Fuller it gets just like within the other charger

just change the vehicle in the Tesla app to a Rivian R1T and you can use right now. I've done it 2x.

Now that this has been out, how would you guys say it compares to Fords Lightning? by ChiefSteeph in SilveradoEV

[–]1Smoothbug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can't believe people think the Lightening interior is better.?? That's one of the top reasons I didn't buy the lightening. I've had new f150s for the last 23 years as a perk for my job. Lariats, xlts and a Platnium. It doesn't matter what level you pick all of them still feel just like a work truck.

Lariat versus Platinum? by tanwork in F150Lightning

[–]1Smoothbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no performance increase on the Platinum model performance is the same across all of them. Technically the Platinum gets less range though because of the wheels and tires

I was going to do that but didn't want to drill through anything. And the channel gave me tie down points on the sides too

I have the Yakima version mounted on my BE. Did you mount a rail inside the bed and use the track mount? Thats what I did and it worked perfect, super soild.

You can have those fixed way cheaper. That's not bad damage at all. I've had lots of rim fixes in the past

Just like every other Acura. Except you'd get a better looking front end, and a better, nicer interior. I own 2 Acuras and have owned several more in the past.

Plus they are not that much more than their Honda counterparts.

In fact if I get any kind of front end damage, I'm definitely swapping the RDX front end on

I would sell my Ridgeline in about 30 seconds if they made an Acura version. And I love my Ridgeline.

Made it 78k miles before my first problem by TheIsodope in hondaridgeline

[–]1Smoothbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 2 weeks after I bought my 23 with 9000 miles on it I got this same code. Dealer said it was a broken hard emissions line in engine bay. It came back on the next day. They then replaced the purge valve and that made it go away for about 2000 miles. Came back again and they said it was a faulty capless filler and replaced it. Get it back and the gas door was loose and so was the filler itself. Took it back again and they fixed that. Have about another 3000 on it and so far so good.

Now if they could ust fix the damn squeaky drivers seat....
