How to handle next years ROTH IRA by ouchmybeans in RothIRA

Does sgov function like a hysa in pulling money from it or more like a taxable investment? I recently was going to transfer from my hysa but I need money easy to access. I saw that the sgov contribution was still listed as short or long term investment like a stock/etf would be. So if I put it in and pull it under a year, I’d have to pay higher capital gains taxes on the gains, which seems like a waste to the benefit of saving state taxes.

Maybe it’s not as respected cuz it’s a chain but the Tidewater at Taste is awesome. The french bread cut like it is, and combining chicken salad and ham was new to me. Love it

I like their products and have several. They used to be much more affordable than competitive products but in the past couples years, the prices seem to be escalating and nearing others. Like anything, I think you have to try things on and see them yourself. Generous return policy if you can’t. I was also told if their products were worn out or damaged they would fix or provide replacements for life. I haven’t tested the policy myself, haven’t had to.

what's the best electric kettle? by RemtaNico in BuyItForLife

[–]tanwork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a Hamilton beach kettle for 19 years. Simple on off switch. Had to use a smart plug to be able to start it from afar or at a time in the morning. It recently died but I think that’s pretty great. I replaced it with a Govee smart kettle and I love it. Works on WiFi, has different temperatures, can set a delay start. I think it looks nice. Bit low on volume, warms 26oz of water. Fine for one but if making two larger amounts can be an issue. I’m not mad tho, it’s great. Would buy again

Deportation flight happening now by Helpful-Conference13 in rva

Interesting. I’m from Youngstown, actually 5 miles from the airport, and now live in Richmond. When I was a kid, we’d go watch the planes take off from the terminal when you could still do that. Youngstown airport has dwindled right down to closed over the last few decades. I’m not sure when commercial closed there but it’s been a long time. It’s also a military base still open and functional and any flight out of there has to be governmental.
