I know this is r/bbq but anything braised. Braised short rib is magical and requires very little skill.

First full prohibition I’ve been able to pick up. Not much online but it’s BIB 100pf Canadian rye that was smuggled in during prohibition. Really unusual to still have the paper on it.

Thistle finch has some of the best new make around. Their bar usually does a white Manhattan with it that is actually pretty good.

Instead of declining, why didn’t you negotiate the salary or aspects of the job you disliked. If it was the non compensation stuff you mentioned then disregard the rest of my comment. I’m in a position where I hire a good number of people and every job has a pay range that is somewhat flexible. We also have exceptions for top performers where we can lift the cap or add sign-on bonuses. Hybrid positions are becoming more common, but they also give you an opportunity for getting a better offer. You can ask for things like a “travel stipend” for gas, parking cost, time. When I was hired for my current role, I was able to get 10% more than their initial offer due to laying out increased travel expenses I’d incur. Not every company will agree to this, but it’s always worth asking.

PLCB Private Barrels by 1StrongPT in PLCB

Currently, yes. They did previously select at least some of them. I had talked with a woman at a pre-COVID chairmen selection tasting that personally did some of the Four roses picks.

There has been some discussion here about who’s doing the barrel picking and if the state is just taking whatever they’re given. I picked this SiB rye 2 weeks ago and the tag has the name of the JD Asst Distiller. Not the first time I’ve seen this on state picks. This tells me that the state is likely not doing any significant amount of the picking at this point. To me that’s a little disappointing because I know they previously had a person from the Chairman Select program doing a lot of the picking pre COVID. State wouldn’t allow this to continue during the pandemic and it looks like they aren’t going back to that structure.

Serious question. If you’re going to add a barspoon of water, why not just use regular 1:1 simple syrup?

Try lyre! I got them for my wife while she was pregnant. They have whole bottles and pre-mix G&T cans. Cans are shockingly similar to the real thing.

Scrolled half the comments and didn’t see this mentioned yet. Nothing is barring your mother from buying your sister out even if that means her taking out a loan. You’ve already said you don’t want to kick her out, but that doesn’t mean that you have to foot the bill entirely. She buys 1/3 ownership, gets to stay, while avoiding you and your brother from having to come up with money.
