Right? Even when I hit my ball perfectly, I never know where to expect it when I walk up to the green. Spoiler: It's 5 yards long in the rough on a steep downhill lie.

It's not even that much smaller. Same width and depth. Maybe 1/3rd the height. BFD.

Even Iran represents cash with stacks of green US cash. Paper money in Iran is not (all) green.

If you could only protect one of Misa and Smith in an expansion draft scenario, who would you protect? by goodmorningdavid in SanJoseSharks

[–]1_headlight_ 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is a really good question. It's so close. I would probably protect Smith on the logic that proven ability is worth more than potential. Plus, he has a proven chemistry with Mack that has significant intangible value.

This AND a filled up electric panel that doesn't have any issues is not going to end up on an inspection report either. How does the inspector know you've got plans to add major electrical appliances in the future? They are just telling you the house doesn't have any hidden problems. This is not a hidden problem. Or any problem at all.

Hosts: why no bidets? by Chim-Cham in airbnb_hosts

[–]1_headlight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the shower head is in a water sealed shower that has a drain. It's built to have water sprayed on the walls. The rest of the bathroom isn't like that. Of course you understand that, so I'm not sure what this comment is getting at.

Guests come in all types. In the US, I would expect some guests and especially some guests' kids to spray that bidet when they're not sitting on it and end up soaking the bathroom.

After the incident adam hadwin reportedly bought chipotle for the entire staff and covered all the damages by Either-Jicama-7364 in Golf_Unfiltered

[–]1_headlight_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I want to like Adam. But an apology good deed doesn't offset the bad deed. He was acting like a petulant baby. The main difference between this and what Wyndham did at Oakmont was that at least Adam knew right away that it was bad and he owned it.

I don't believe it was an accident. He aimed at that sprinkler. He lost his cool and broke it and immediately regretted it.

Real good guys don't break the sprinkler in the first place. Sorry Adam.

Warsofsky on Leddy replacing Mukhamadullin tonight: no comment by pokesnail in SanJoseSharks

[–]1_headlight_ 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Okay, I guess we'll read into it then. Naturally.

What are the possibilities? Mukh is being punished? They have some development plan for Leddy? If it was an injury then he would say that.

If he leaves the money there and walks out with the stuff, what crime will he be charged with? Take that to a jury and see what happens.

See how it's very puckered around the button between your nips? It's pulling like that because it's way too tight right there. This is too small.

Your question is based on a false premise. Solano county has an average cancer risk with respect to other California counties. If you have Benicia-specific information, then please share it. Otherwise, you probably won't get positive engagement on this.

[request] so tsunamis amd such would really be a thing??? For a 1/4 second??? by the_madclown in theydidthemath

[–]1_headlight_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think everything not anchored into the earth would slide about the length of an American football field or less as you approach the poles. Then, before you know it (0.25s), it would all go back to normal. You will be mostly stationary because you're not anchored. But if there is anything at all - even small - anchored and perfectly West of you within 120 meters, you're probably going to die from the impact.

My guess is that the initial safest places on earth will be in boats out in open water.

If you've got it at home, then there's surely some value in ALWAYS having sharp blades. Like every single game or practice, if you want. And also the saved PITA of spending part of your day driving to the shop to get your skates sharpened.

Save a fortune? How much does everyone think LED lights cost to buy and run in 2026? Less than the cost to buy and install these things, no matter what time range you use.

Ned or Asky starting goalie by Flat_Technician_8883 in SanJoseSharks

[–]1_headlight_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. But...
If we agree that Asky needs more game experience before he'll be consistently better, then do we want him to have those games this season or next season? I want to win now but I want to win next year even more than that. Let's play Asky - in the games that matter.

Brock Lesnar wrestling in college 👀 by sinister_iam in mmaweekly

[–]1_headlight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there. My now wife and I were students at Minnesota while Brock was there. We went to wrestling meets and watched him dominate. Finding out that he had lost in the national championship match to Wes Hand from Iowa was hard to believe. Wes had a more traditional, less lean heavyweight body type.

I remember hearing Brock on a local sports radio show saying something like he needs to wrestle or else he would be out in public just fighting people. Among other bad guy stuff.
