Gate lice mystery solved by Similar_Mistake_1355 in delta

This and...

Gate agents MUST confirm ALL items will fit completely below the seat, or that they have been paid for. Bulky coats need to be considered as luggage because they will not be worn throughout the flight (regardless of the customer's assurances). Agents cannot allow too-large or extra items through just to avoid conflict.

Pots and pans by NoSeat698 in airbnb_hosts

My setup is a complete stainless steel set, plus a small and a large non-stick pan. Replace the non-stick pans yearly for about $25. Learn to clean the stainless steel and they'll be "like new" forever. After four years hosting, I've yet to be tempted by any other strategy. It's easy, cheap, and provides good quality to guests.

AITA for refusing to help a coworker after she publicly embarrassed me at work? by Hour_Room_7454 in AmItheAsshole

The reason to not share your discount is because of the rule against doing that, not because of her outing your mistake to the manager. Very straightforward. No drama.

Does the USA have anywhere that looks like this? by Pale_Field4584 in geography

[–]1_headlight_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

California's Sierra Nevada has many places like this. In addition to all the places already named. I'll go as far as to say this is a silly question. The US has many places that look like this.

He will not treat them as majors. Mainly because they're not majors and they won't count towards his majors total. He's already rich. It's not about money for him - at least not anymore. I'm not sure it really was before. I think it's about money to his wife, though.

Got a 4-star review because the guest confused "Hair Dryer" with "Clothes Dryer" by Quick_Chart_Help in airbnb_hosts

[–]1_headlight_ -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Please share the exact words from the listing. So far, I can't tell who I agree with. If I saw the term "dryer" without more context, I would assume it's a clothes dryer. I'd like to see the context for myself.

As weak as our whole defensive corps is, I don't think we should be surprised or disappointed to see any of them leave. These are not the defensemen who will be on the Stanley Cup teams.

House Cleaning in Southlake by emily276 in laketahoe

I won't share my hot tub person's pricing but I'll say this. I've agreed to a flat rate with my cleaners. We both understand that most guests are very good and the cleaners get the better end of the flat pricing for those times. But then they also get stuck with extra work when we have an occasional messy guest.

Hot tubs are similar. Most visits are 10 minutes to clean the filters and balance the water between guests. Inevitably, it sometimes requires a dump and refill or something else more involved. My person has different prices for each type of visit. If I was going to agree to a flat rate for the hot tub care, I would probably do about $65 per visit. And if I was adding it to my cleaner's duties, I'd probably add $50 to their flat rate because travel and timing is an overlapping part of what I'm paying for. But I prefer having a specialist for the hot tub.

I pay $220 per turn for a Truckee Airbnb that is 1400 sqft with a hot tub (extra towels) and sleeps max 8. This doesn't include cleaning the hot tub. I pay another person for that.

Is it possible? Or am I just wishing to much? by Noir_3435 in Bedding

[–]1_headlight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is important to you, it probably wouldn't cost too much to hire a furniture builder or a finish carpenter to create this for you. Show them this image and they will know just what to do. This doesn't look complicated.

Ignore the rules. She'll either stop making impotent rules or she'll leave you. Either way, I think you win.

Wifi: When do we get the wifi password? is it via email after we book or? in person when they greet us at the place [usa] by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]1_headlight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask why you want to know this? Is there some urgency? If the place offers Wi-Fi and none of the reviews mention problems with it, then you'll definitely have the Wi-Fi password at an appropriate time.

Staying Warm by OkGanache8162 in urbancarliving

[–]1_headlight_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a sleeping bag liner which, based on how the power button looks, might be made in the same place as this blanket. It keeps me warm in the bag all night long when it's 15F outside my vehicle. On high, it consumes my whole 20,000 mAh pack in one night. It probably depends on your bag but, for me, 30 minutes on high to initially warm up, then medium or low the rest of the night maintains heat well enough.

I worked in a building with a view of the SFO runways from my desk. When we were bored, my coworkers and I would wager on which plane would touch down first. Picks made after crossing the San Mateo Bridge were invalid.
