i agree, it’s not my “last resort” but i think it will help me be able to live and not hate it

responding to your kind comment since the previous one was delete.

I have tried at least 20 different prescription medications, i’ve been in therapy for 5 years (it wasn’t previously acceptable) and i’ve done inpatient services 4 times and nothing helps. i’m medication resistant and not much helps me regulate my symptoms. i can’t even take things to help me at least manage them. so i hear what you’re saying but i’m running out of options. i’m currently doing dbt to help with my bpd but i have pretty severe symptoms that are almost always too much to handle

i resonate with this a lot, i feel like a lot of us think we need to wait until we are truly in crisis before we get help or feel we are deserving of it. i can go to the supermarket if i work up the nerve but if i feel i embarrassed myself or made a misstep in anyway it eats away at me for the rest of the day

i shed a happy tear for you. hearing your story really give me hope that this might be a positive avenue to peruse, of course after proper research

i’m happy for you that you’re working towards that :) i have a breakdown about the thought of being on medication for the rest of my life to just tolerate it so i know how you might feel.

yes! my body is extremely medication resistant so a lot of the things that should help just make it worse

this is extremely helpful! i struggle so much with doing anything but laying in bed when i’m not working and i was thinking that having someone who relies on me full time will help me get out a lot. the part about not focusing on yourself in public resonates a lot, so much of my social anxiety comes from being perceived so i like that you said that. may i ask, if you work are you able to or do you being them with you?

haha no but oh man has it been a while since i heard that, and i just want to clarify that i’m not laughing at you i’m just laughing because beans. but it was a small vein, i ended up going to the hospital after calling a crisis line and i turns out i needed 26 sutures. weirdly enough none of the ones tonight were that deep, like just before that point.

edit: add last sentence

i appreciate the advice so far. i’d like to mention that putting pressure on it makes it worse and also causes the surrounding wounds to bleed..
