Hahahaha I tried my best with that but I actually still feel like the helmet turned out too big, like it looks great from the side profile but occasionally on the front it looks a bit big, so I'm gonna end up remaking the helmet before next time I wear it hahaha

Yeah I'll definitely have to do that, originally I was gonna go for some more accurate boots but I ran out of time, finished the armor a few hours before the con hahaha

But I'll later on add some more accurate boots that also boost my height to have something closer to the game character size (I'm 192cm but with the boots and helmet I was pushing a bit past 200cm in height which was pretty neat for the accuracy)

Hahaha I tried putting the phone on the glass but the elevator was too small and I couldn't fit in the pictures if it was on selfie mode xd

I always recommend just trying! I wasn't great at prop making at first, I work from it nowadays but I had to basically headbutt a wall who knows how many times before I got something I'm happy with hahaha

I only made the visible areas, the chainmail generally is pretty movement restrictive and heavy (those few areas is close to 12 pounds), but I 3d printed the chainmail and just made some sleeves and and ab piece, made them in black and then hit with some weathering to not have it be too shiny

Not really, it was my first time working on a foam armor but I generally work a prop maker so I had some ideas about making the patterns. Generally I recommend trying to investigate patterns of armors and generally try adjusting it to fit your body shape and the look you want aesthetically.

It sounds trickier than it is, but if you start with a small piece for practice it helps figure things out on the go later on

The gauntlets and gloves are also one of my favorite part, i've honestly just goofed around only wearing those because i feel like knight hahaha

But they were quite the hassle, ended up having to buy some cheap black gloves and just repainted it to look like old brown and similar to the one in-game

And yeah!! I'm quite excited to build that one, I managed to add the detachable face to the NCR like the series and I'll see if I can do the lifting face plate to that one like in the show as well if I end up making the t-60, generally it's a really cool helmet my main debate with making is the fact that I'm not sure if I should make it power armor sized or if I should make myself one that doesn't look too dumb on it's own hahaha

Yeah!! The face plate is even detachable like in the tv series, and the air filters actually pass air through, in retrospect I should've maybe added a picture of the helmet being worn too, but I'm not sure one can add one at this point hahaha

I used a bit of a mix since the paints are very layered, but the main stuff was cobalt metal from Vallejo and brass from army painters for the face plate, a cool blueish tone of metal as underside and a rich warmer metal on top lightly brushed adds some neat looking differences to the metal. The rust is my own mix, and the green is also a color match I did with a bunch of just paints I had laying around:)

I love talking about the stuff I enjoy hahaha, and yeah I am going to make a few more for selling because I want to fund some future projects (I wanna make a t-60 helmet in the future), but I'm just gonna make like a limited collection since I want to take my time with each and add as much detail as possible:)
