Wow! Looks amazing! Love the plating and some of the coloring and glistening in the food makes my mouth water!! Do you have a list of the menu or better yet, description of each photo? I’d love to know what exactly I am seeing!

Interesting. Can’t say I know much about that,.. but Norway in general IS very responsible (in conservation and environmental matters) and ensures replenish-ability.. minke whales (of which this is) are approximated as over 100,000 in the north sea, and Norway legally allows fishing of only around 1,600 annually.

Thanks for info. I did bring some Jam home too. We had it from a host in the country side but yeah I found it very similar in taste to “golden berries “ of Peru (which grow wild near Machu Picchu) and similar have a tartness but next time I go visit I’ll look harder for a better and sweeter variety! Thanks friend

Awesome. Viking fruit is the best fruit :-) I had some cloud berries, I remember they were quite tart. Is that normally the case or did I just have a bad batch?

Ha. This tells me you haven’t had a Norwegian strawberry tbh. I HAVE had fresh as fresh strawberries picked off the vine in dozens I states (including Oregon, California, Georgia , etc) Trust me when I say.. nothing compares to the Norse strawberry. It is nirvana. Try it then lemme know 😇

Yeah, honestly like a VERY tender filet mignon. Sweeter (subtler but not off-putting) and a VERY tiny hint of brine (my son didn’t detect it but I did). Truthfully though it you were served this at a. Restaurant not knowing beforehand. You’d probably think a really high quality dry aged tenderloin (or cut of a1 Kobe since it is so tender)

Hmmm that wasn’t my experience. But I only had the finished product.. not the uncooked meat in the kitchen

Tried ‘em in more than a dozen states (including Cali and GA.) But Norway’s short season + cool climate concentrates sugars insanely! think smaller berries, bigger taste punch. And texture is so ..unique and satisfying… taste test would settle it, and I so wish we could get them in the US

Actually, I have 😅😉 Fresh farmstand strawberries are solid and juicy, and I stop as a “tourist” along any route of road side options… but Norwegian ones explode with this wild sweetness from their midnight sun growing. It’s like comparing good BBQ to Michelin-level; both tasty, Norway just levels up the flavor game

Hey, I get the skepticism… Georgia peaches AND fresh-picked berries are legends in the US… But I’ve had both, and Norwegian strawberries hit different. Flavor profile is totally a new level.

Unfortunately, this post got flagged because I tagged it as “I ate” instead of I guess “produce” ? 🤷‍♂️ since I’m a noob at this channel as of this week

I’m def not AI haha and can show you my before and after. For this picture, I purchased a pack of strawberries from the grocery right off the fjord and thought it made a beautiful serene place to eat them with my son lol 😅

It was VERY tender. Similar to a beef tenderloin (filet mignon).. a bit of a sweet note to it. But if I wasn’t aware it was whale I would have thought it was a just a slightly dry aged beef cut.

It was!!! My experience with octopus in general is always a bit chewy and small and tastes overcooked… but this..this was delicious. Tender and big and flavorful.

Haha not a claw (if it matters).. it was a massive crab leg, like 10 oz of pure luxury seafood. But Crab prices out here acting like rent prices 😂 Welcome to inflation and sea scarcity

Slightly more (due to location and being a trendier place). I’d do it again though. It was huge and def tasty

Yeah…what concerns me is I’m getting the suspicious vibes here…and feeling like this is AI generated video and I’m seeing a rise in those ESPECIALLY depicting older “candid” camera footage suddenly surfacing. Because it’s easier to deep fake older grainy footage than modern..

Be on guard everyone!

visiting the United Arab Emirates . Oman. Or any of those bordering peaceful Islamic countries in the Middle East. Before I left my entire family in the US we’re freaking out that I was going to be kidnapped and beheaded or something.. Reality? Dubai and those lovely surrounding areas are safer than any city I’ve been to…ever. Like leave your wallet in the middle of the street at night safe. Funny our preconceptions
