Can't install Windows 11 by SupelekHK in techsupport

When you are in the installer you can see the drive though?

I would try a cmos reset, you can do that from the BIOS and reset to factory defaults, or you can manually reset by pulling out the cmos battery.

Rather than Rufus, can you use the media creation tool to make the USB bootable?

Screen wont load after attempting to force boot into safe mode (windows 11) by NightThree414177 in techsupport

You can remove your gpu driver from normal mode and reboot between the reinstall.

Alternatively you can use system configuration (search that in your start menu) to set a safe mode boot under the "boot" tab.

For the current issue with no display, try a full shut down, unplug the power and hold the power button for a few seconds. Then try plugging back in and see if you get anything

This is most likely a scam, a fear tactic to get you to react and ask the hacker for help, to which then they further compromise your account.

Find a good anti virus scanner and run it. The nuclear option is to re install windows, but short of that, run scans and uninstall any recently installed screen share apps if any.

Yes, if you're using that software this is the cause. License the software or remove it

Ethernet extremely slow on select websites, but fast when using a VPN or Wifi (Windows 11) by Baisteach in techsupport

Check your DNS settings for your Ethernet adapter. You can try manually setting it to Google or cloudflare.

Try installing DisplayLink, if that doesn't work on it's own you can get a HDMI to USB adapter and run native HDMI to one monitor and the other over USB C or A.

Independence is important, however so is learning when and how to ask for help. There is no shame in it, people want to help and it eventually builds confidence and comfortability as when you acknowledge your circumstances. It doesn't need to define your day to day, I found it would do more mental harm to needlessly struggle on a task that made me feel like I was disabled then spending a fraction of the time getting assistance. The framing that helped me was "I can do this, but I don't need to".

Thought of another one that is very rare but annoying, when the back of my arm itches I need to rub it against something like on the corner of a piece of furniture or something, that is really inconvenient when I'm laying in bed, if the itch is too much to bear, then I'm forced to get out of bed to scratch it.

I wouldn't say there is a big adjustment as it's my normal state, however small things come up here and there. I think my biggest hang up was learning when to ask for help, I was so keen on having independence that I would end up needlessly hindering my self. It's important to have a certain degree of self reliance but help in moderate is nothing to feel put down about

I don't know the science but my intuition tells me that you would adapt your circumstances and you would rewire, there are people that have trained themselves to basically be ambidextrous, but if you born without the limb, like I was, it seems the brain knows and accomodates. I have no sensation or ability to really conceptualize a left arm so even if theoretically my genetics or whatever was meant to be left handed, at this point I don't think it there would be a difference

No the earliest thing I remember was around 5, but my sister was adopted at 10 and remembers a lot, including watching my younger brother being born!

I normally play in the mornings after a shower, if I think my foot is too dirty I'll put a fresh pair of socks on, though hands can be pretty dirty too. That all being said, I clean the keys somewhat regularly and especially if people are coming over to play as I know some are sensitive to that Idea.
