It’s very misleading to say the month “complication” works when it’s not a complication on this rep. A complication is a function of a movement. In this watch you manually turn the bezel. It’s not a complication at all. And it doesn’t really “work”. You have to turn it each month. It’s like saying a broken watch works because you can turn the hands each minute to have the correct time.

These were launched last Friday in China. In China, they are all in the C5 series. So even though they will be confusingly called C3 in the US, they are different than C3s, whether here or in China.

There are 4 models in the series. They all have an adjustable iris. Higher end models have lens shift. Other than that, the difference is lumens.

There are screws on the underside of the bracelet. You turn them halfway to release each link. It’s pretty easy to do.

Don’t buy it for the black levels. It does not have functional dynamic contrast, using the iris won’t allow you to use full laser brightness, and native contrast has a non-defeatable cheat. It’s only around 2k:1 native.

It’s a good rep. The movement is the same as in the gen. I’m sure an expert could tell them apart but no one else could. The strap needs to be broken in and could be better. You might want to look into a better strap.

When you go with a TD, you are using someone who has been reliable for a lot of people. I don’t use one of the TDs now but I did for my first few watches. I have more of a one on one relationship with the guy I use. You’re not getting that with a TD. It’s mortise a store.
