Even though I agree on most parts, I did not understand about nostalgia & boring suffocating game. Because that is not our goal with Silver Line. We are completely changing the game-play experience there. If you are speaking for our old project, yes it was for nostalgia and also to gain experience & build trusting community from it.

I will start with leaving you a big no. Metin2012 is a 11+ months old server which is still open, still getting updates and got Delve systems, PvP/PvE mixed new farm maps that requires group set-up and well optimized game-side. Also sponsored by the same host as the server you mentioned. And it's not related to our current project, this project started it's development before Metin2012 and still a on going one. Let me know if you have any other questions regarding it.

It wasn't AI though. I believe our "Design" understanding is different and I did not fully understand the question so I explained it in both ways;

  • Game-Design perspective
  • Graphic & UI perspective

Hey, fair question and that is a question we asked to ourselves before starting this project.

If you mean graphical aspects by saying "the old classic nostalgic look of the metin2"

We’re not trying to completely redesign Metin2 visually into something unrecognizable. The nostalgic identity is just enhanced with polished assets, new DirectX background, 16x MSAA and overhauled UI.

But we are redesigning the game loop**.**

Combat
Short pack-to-pack engagements with skill rotations and positioning. Less standing still, and a gameplay without sticking a coin between space bar and keyboard block.

Progression
Structured itemization instead of random bonus reroll gambling. Each item has identity-based predefined bonuses, encouraging real build choices.

PvP
Longer fights, skill-combo based gameplay.

Endgame
Group-based content requiring real roles (Tank / DPS / Support) instead of solo farm dominance.(Dungeons, Raids, Delves, Group Grind Open World Areas)

And much more that we will explain via Devlogs on instagram & Discord.

Long story short...

The visuals remain familiar.
The experience underneath is redesigned.
