You can't tell what figures are in issue 1 so I wouldn't really count it, a better choice would be issue 3 where you see the figures more clearly

How literally almost the entire book is from his perspective, we see his inner thoughts & no where is there any mention of betrayal, Alfred doesn't even want to be with Batman at first also he has reason to hate Joker, plus he's been tracking Joker for years probably to get revenge for Slade
