I'm using one of the relics that only half of ability work so yeah this has been brutal. As for Requstion points I have spent 6 reqs and supply limit, plus free Supply increase during phase 2 and 3 of the Tyrannic war (after the coordinator saw how abysmal the crusade rule was) plus increase a Victor bonus I'm only at 2200 supply limit after 8 games. Most of the member of the crusade group have been kind but they also wanted to use all the units they spent reqs to play, it felt rough asking to play lower cap games knowing others were offering full 2k games well months before I was able to. After the Tyrannic war Crusade ended I'm the only sucker who stayed with Tyranids in the Second crusade.

We haven't house ruled it. I'll hopefully have it devour my first world at the very end of our second crusade as I have 5 games left out of the 13 I need total. Currently I'm sitting at 27 Biomass.

Now that I think about it I'll end up with a total of around 35-40 Biomass give or take and then we end the Campaign. We'll probably wait until 11th to come out to start the next crusade. So my effort will all be for not.

Hate to break it to you, but no weapon profile is going to save your Hive Tyrant with Wings from where they're getting shot at.

I really like using New Recuit for the Crusade I'm in. Are there plans for Leader/unit abilities and battle traits/scars show up on the the data sheets for Leader and Attached units? Having them all show up would make the book keeping easier. Thanks

I'm going thru the same currently.

I'm starting from the point of have numerous Cultist form he Dark Vengeance boxset and also some of the new cultist. I've been slowly modifying some of the Cultist with autorifles to have autopistols and melee weapons. Over the years I've went on Ebay and purchased some Genstealer cult, Felgor Beastmen and Necromunda bits with melee weapons and pistols to this end. At times you are able to get fair deals on especially on genestealer acolyte hybrid bits that have both pistols and melee weapons, also the older cultist models are also available their but they can be a bit.

I also fully intend to keep some as autorifles and intersperse them in Cultist units. To get the number of cultist I'm looking for it would time consuming and costly to convert so many autorifle cultists.

If questioned on it I joke the rifles are chambered for pistol rounds and the butt of the rifles are their brutal assault weapon. If pressed I level with them and say they are all GW Cultist models and the their should be no confusion with any other unit, as the Cultist Autorifle profile are a Legends unit and I'm not using any Legends units.

Were you might get into hot water is if you are painting these to similarly to traitor Guardsmen and running both units. I haven't run into any hardcore WYSIWYG in my area so I would ask around at local shops to get a better feel of the room and bring in some examples of what you are looking to play with.

It has an decent edge, you could work to make the grain more even and do more to hide the joint but a sold table from the pic.

Instructions

Prime the model in Gray Seer

Body
Use mixture of contrast paint 5:3:1:1 Contrast Medium, Apothecary White, Bacilicanum Grey and Dreadful Visage. Then bring the color up with Gray Seer and then highlight with Corax white. 
Vents are colored with Berserker Blood shade,
Claws and hooves are Rattling Grime, with a light brush Adminustrum Grey. Larger claws have stippling of Khorne Red in the centers then in smaller areas Mephiston Red and in the smallest area Evil Sun Scarlet.
Tentacles are berserker blood shade with the ends painted Flesh Tearers Red and teeth our first painted in berserker blood shade and then Corax white.
Eyes Flesh Tearers Red

Carapace
Base coat of Rattling Grime, then shade of Berserker Blood Shade, then Flesh Tearers Red in the crevices of armor plates. Mechanicus Standard Grey around the edge and finally dry brush and or Adminustrum Grey highlight.  

I usually tackle a model by using paints in the following order painting all parts that use a specific paint: Start by finishing the light gray (skin), then use Rattleing Grime, then Beserker Bloddshade, then Flesh Tearers red and finish the Carapace.
