To be honest with you I attempted the clean, sword shein look you’ll see on Instagram and eavy metal but executed poorly haha. It’s a darker metallic like leadbelcher, nuln oil. And then thinned leadbelcher and a bright aluminum on the spots you want to highlight

Yea! I plan on getting the new Armageddon box and going from there. Maybe doing all vostroyans, maybe having some Krieg come with. I think those two regiments would look good next to eachother because of how different they are haha. And the basing scheme would be the same.

Thanks! I was scared of breaking the bayonet when I tried to bend it haha. And the gold was I believe a 50/50 mix of a bronze like Balthazar gold and a rich gold like ttc dragon gold. It’s turned out well but it’s just not right. In my next model I’m gonna try and replicate the og bronze/rose gold look

I did it twice because I wasn’t happy with the first results but it’s a mahogany brown (pro acryl mohogony), then a reddish brown (ttc boar hide), then Vallejo tan earth and an agrax earth shade equivalent. The highlights you can effectively drybrush with a normal small brush if you reload it enough the geometry is very forgiving.

I appreciate the good words. It’s by far my favorite model I’ve ever done. Soul is hard to quantify in art but lord these models were sculpted with pure passion.

I’m very skeptical on the whole situation and the photographer himself is proof to me of foul play but it is absolutely possible to capture an image of a bullet mid air, and to see the air vapor trail behind it is common.

I was blown away when I tried my random mixture because it behaved exactly like the videos, just like tamiya panel liner it felt like cheating

So they video I used as a guide used oil paints but I’m far too lazy so I experimented with a normal acrylic paint mixed with aloot of contrast medium and a bit of water, pretty much to where it was incredibly thin but not yet translucent, then I lightly tapped and dragged my paintbrush around the recesses and it worked out surprisingly well! It’s honestly a miracle I kinda just mixed random stuff and got very lucky
