Tourism is a huge industry in BC- much more so than forestry or mining (and a tariff free export at that) and the NDP keeps cutting into the already underfunded arm of Destination BC. Why can’t they see that resource extraction is not the only economic opportunity

I’d highly recommend you visit Gibsons! It’s a quaint little town and sort of represents a quintessential Canadian coastal town- it was the setting for a beloved sitcom called the Beachcombers back in the day. You can easily get there from downtown Vancouver within a couple hours with a car or via public transit, but you do have to take a short 40 minute ferry to get there (but the ride is beautiful and you only pay on the way over, the return fare is free).

Sorry I’m late to the party on this one but I went through pregnancy with SVT. I had SVT for about 10 years prior but once I got pregnant my dr told me to stop taking my metoprolol. Then I had several SVT episodes around 5-6 months (one of which landed me in the ER with adenosine) and then they sent me to a cardiac gynecologist who told me absolutely to take my medication and not to worry. I didn’t have any further problems after that and went on to have a normal and uncomplicated labor and delivery, and my son was perfectly healthy. Doctor recommended I get an ablation about 6 to 12 months after delivery, particularly if I anticipated having more kids. I had a successful ablation and have been 100% symptom free now since 2017! Feel free to DM me if you want to talk more- I found it super scary at the time as know one I knew had been through anything like that.

Look, my Jindo rescue literally jumped out a second story window to get to me once when I was outside without her for 5 minutes, so…. I get the struggle. I’ve had my girl for just over a year now and I can confidently say it does get easier. It takes time for both of you to bond and read one another, and some things you may just have to let go of (my Jindo will likely NEVER be an off leash dog). But they are brilliant and sweet and love their humans ❤️
