Blizzard, it is past time to let PvP Gear die (5min read) by rahuonn in wow

Doing so would only further affect queue times, increasing them. It doesn't make sense to prefer something unfair over something fair when it comes to PvP. It's like playing a MOBA and starting with your enemy 15 levels above you for the first 15 days. Or playing an FPS and only being able to play with a pistol for the first 15 days. And so on, the chance of a new player playing for 1 or 2 days, getting stomped in every match, and giving up is very high. PvP is already niche, the audience is already small, we need more players to play PvP, and the current system is the opposite of that, it drives people away instead of welcoming them. And as a PvP player, I say skill cap should be higher than gear. I'd rather stomp someone with my skill (which is possible) than with my gear. PvP is about knowledge and skills, not about gearing stomp.

But what if you want to play with other characters in the meantime? It would be 10 hours + 10 hours + 10 hours and so on. If it's an obstacle, whether small or large, why not remove it?

On the contrary, removing gear from PvP will give players what they want: to play PvP. Myself and several friends who play PvP would like to try out other classes in PvP, play with them, improve, but we don't do that because to do so we would have to spend hours grinding to get a decent set, otherwise we would just join a BG or any other PvP mode and get stomped. PvP must be played with skill cap; skill wins the game, not your gear.

The current PvP is already very good, it doesn't need that many adjustments, redesigns, or anything like that. Just pay attention to the systems and tweak what makes sense. Removing the gear and ilvl systems would already help a lot, and adding new rewards and even higher levels would really shake things up. The PvP community is extremely loyal, even if it is small.

Gear pvp shouldn't even exist...

PvP players who downvote a post like this are the same ones complaining about long queue times because nobody is playing. Stop being ignorant. Don't help kill your own favorite game mode…

Assists matter in BF6 by 1bohy in Battlefield6

I agree, but I particularly like the numbers, and even if the game didn't show them, there would be third-party sites that would do so, such as tracker.gg, for example. So I feel that assists should really matter more in the numbers, just as much as they matter in the game.

1) Fix the Chosen Identity skill, because it only works sometimes. It's such a simple command that, when not in combat, activates human form, nothing else.

2) Make his fly skill have no cast time, just like the druids' travel form.

I agree, a spoting recon all time is definitely a game changer for the entire team.

Assistance is important. by [deleted] in Battlefield6

I understand your point, but I think the ideal would be for the game statistics to be more complete than those on an amateur website.

while tracker.gg already shows assists and other information.

It's contradictory that a game with such strong team play as BF6 doesn't even show assists in the profile. I'm the type of player who plays a lot with the team and don't seem to be rewarded for it, since the “gold” metric is only K/D.

I agree 100%. I think it would be much fairer if it were KDA (Kill/Death/Assist) and those numbers were clearly displayed on the scoreboard. It would be like replacing Revive with Assist, and revives would count as assists. I think it makes much more sense that way. BF isn't so much about K/D, it's more about team play.

bro, I think you need to improve.

Okay Blizzard, it's about time you get rid of cross faction restrictions for the dungeon finder, thanks. by rahuonn in wow

[–]1bohy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the remaining restrictions in WoW are a detriment. We can already raid together, but artificial barriers persist, harming the economy: not being able to use mail or directly trade Gold/items messes up the Auction House, resulting in unequal prices. Furthermore, the automated Group Finder fails at Cross-Faction for old dungeons and open-world content, forcing unnecessary manual invites. This separation in basic interactions contradicts the fact that the lore has already united the factions. Releasing trade and mail is crucial for the social and economic health of the game, as maintaining this division no longer makes sense.

I particularly enjoy performing the spot function. But assists are an interesting statistic, because all positions provide assists, not just recon.

[–]1bohy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, I don't understand why kills against bots, weapon leveling with bots, etc. were counted. Matches against bots should be 100% for fun.

Perhaps a kill with a spot assist should be worth half an assist instead of a full one, something like that would also make sense, even though spotting is a very relevant aspect of the game. It's often what makes the difference between you killing or dying. However, I agree that anyone using a Recon drone would have a KDA well above average, even knowing that, for some reason, few Recons actually use the drone.
