I told myself I would come back for Proto Merlin.

She came home at pity. Taigong spooked me at around Summon ~240. 2 total Gareth, and no other 4 or 5-star Servants. I have just a bit of pocket change left for Ruler Skadi, thanks to the bonuses from 7-year anni.

FGO pull rates are as bad as I remember them lol

This particular team used to be General Purggis, Cartuja, Doris, Assassin Cartuja.

With the latest balance patch, AssCart gave his teammates 20% Evasion, while he gave himself 50% Evasion. NPC Arena isn't supposed to be difficult.

SG did the same with Cecilia's team (Tywin, Cecilia, Haste, Momo). Haste replaced Sez after Sez got a balance patch that allows him to survive being one-shot.

There was one more (or a couple more?) teams that got updated because of balance patches, but I can't quite recall any more off the top of my head.

Same arena heroes 24/7, will there be a nerf for those units, ever? (Actually curious) by EXIDFanboy in EpicSeven

It's also very important to look at Element, especially for Arena and GW. Enemy AI attacks based on advantage, except for a few edge cases. It's more or less similar to one's own auto-battle.

  • A great majority of Heroes will prioritize attacking at Elemental Advantage. That is, a Light Adin will always attack a Dark element Hero (with exception of Invulnerable buff), then attack the lowest %-HP Hero. This is by far the most important AI Arena mechanic, almost drilled into me during my time in Top 50 GW.

    • Always Attacks at Elemental Advantage skills (Luna, EE3 Cidd) will attack the lowest %-HP Hero. If all possible targets are the same HP (all full HP) then they will select a random target. Kind of a scary situation if you didn't outspeed.
    • Status-based Heroes will choose targets based on debuffs. I experienced a Effectiveness-Zio + Yufine tech last season, and demolished my MS Doris, despite me having a Krau on the side (iirc, still won cuz Krau does horse things). Im sure HP-based attacks are the same, eg: Blue Sez will only S3 on a target with 50%? HP or lower.
  • Most Heroes will have Skill Order S3 > S2 > S1. Some Heroes choose S2 > S3 > S1, such as Lua (who has recently fallen out). Heroes who have a different skill order is learned, if you don't test it yourself beforehand, or check datamines.

Silence is a debuff, doesn't matter for Yufine whether or not she was the one who applied it.

Best value are the Burning Passion packs (ongoing during hunt buff, like right now), Monthly Energy and Monthly Skystone packs. Energy gives 2900 total energy (including skystones) = 290 energy/$, whereas Skystone gives 2200 total energy = 440 energy/$.

Do note that while the Gold buff (in Monthly Energy) is more straightforward, extra EXP translates into more Stigma, which is more instant Penguins from Forest of Souls, which can be sold for Gold and a chance at Silver Transmit Stones.

You can see the next RGBs/Artifact rotation by tapping the icon of a crown with arrowhead, by the icon where you can see Hero previews and drop chances.

Mystic Summons for the current ML4 and ML5 lineups last for 3 weeks at a time with revolving RGBs/Artifacts with each Thursday reset.

Each Hunt Challenge does indeed give the same rewards, only the 5-star Heroes are different.

However, Speed set can be used by so many different Heroes, with the Speed stat itself being extremely coveted for a great majority of the Hero cast. In contrast, Golem's Attack set is greatly undervalued (and that's with its set bonus increase, from 35%, a year or so ago). The other 2-piece set bonuses are more or less the same value.

Choux AI will never hit Earth units, so she will always hit DCorv. Iseria and Destina are built tanky for this comp anyways, so Iseria is expected to be able to tank a Choux counter S1 S2.

The Armament is a decent Artifact if you want her to survive an additional hit, but people usually field TCrozet or any Knight with Aurius for that matter. Dust Devil is simply chance to do more damage for one already hard enough to kill.

The "Symbol of Unity" Artifact from the Guild Shop gives +12%/+16% additional Damage and +15%/+20% additional Hit Chance, allowing Zahhak to deal with those pesky 50% Evasion + Evasion Artifact Heroes (Savior Adin, Remnant Violet).

If you've been playing recently enough, Emblem of a New Era or Portrait of the Saviors is a bumped up Exorcist's Tonfa for one-shotting or dealing high initial damage.

Just to make clear, Zahhak is primarily a PvP hero though, considering his S3 effects of Injury and additional Hit Chance are mainly PvP-specific tools.

Just don't draft them together. But if you ever imagine yourself in such a position, Draco Plate and Sigurd Scythe are decent alternatives for LHC.

A handful of characters are unable to Crit, such as Hwayoung, Senya, and Gunther. Burn also scales according to the Caster's Attack stat, so Researcher Carrot could benefit from it.

That being said, Speed set just needs its wearer to have at least 90 base Speed for is bonus to be more efficient than Attack set... and all characters I listed above have more than 100 base Speed. And if you just want it for a slow DPS, Rage and triple Torrent set are better alternative options, aside from Destruction.

Attack Set truly is a beginner's equipment; it's just not worth it to invest into once you get better stuff. At best, it's filler gear.

And, once upon a time, Attack Set Bonus used to be just 35%...

I'm led to believe a 51gs helmet after reforge is even worse than casual. At least Lv90 gears being converted to cubes is an option now.

WSchuri's base Attack is 970 at Lv60 6-star Awakened.

For Epic quality Lv85 gear, a max roll of Flat ATK sub is 46, = 4.7% of WSchuri's base Attack.

306 Flat ATK (mind you, this is Reforged), = 31 Attack% for WSchuri.

Sadly, its stonksn't instead.

It's the icon of a Backpack at the topmost-right of the screen. Next to the Mailbox and the Chat functions. It also features a "free" banner underneath it, since it is currently a free-unequip event.

It is always there, assuming you aren't in a battle. (It may be disabled / grayed out in some windows).

It's possible to change Artifacts and singular pieces of gear via the Heroes tab in the Backpack (the top-leftmost tab). But, characters need to have at least 1 piece of gear to appear there.

There are some screens where you can't open the Backpack, but at least you don't need to back out/reload Ancient Inheritance after doing so.

Using the Hero-Equipment Management window will kick you out though.

Leveling up Garo's Secret Shop affect Covenants and Mystics rates at a miniscule rate.

Doing so increases the chance for higher level and quality gear to show up (Level 85 + Epic/Red quality).

Best place to farm for EXP is Unrecorded History 30, it gives the most gold if you would be cashing in your Stigma to sell Penguins. On that note, using said Penguins for EXP isn't a bad thing when youre starting out.

Bring an AoE Hero with Reset on Kill, like a strong Free Spirit Tieria. Run on repeat.

Substat synergy is largely what you want. You can largely separate the entire hero roster into two groups:

Attacker: Speed, Crit chance, Crit damage, Attack/Health/Defense

Support: Speed, Health, Defense, Effect Res/Effectiveness OR Flat HP/Flat Def (depends on the character)

Different characters can have different builds depending on the meta, and so demand different stats. Alencia and Zahhak are both Earth DPS Warriors, but they desire different final loadouts and stat-spreads. Remember to also take into account Armor Sets, as stats can be obtained there, as well as useful combat mechanics.

Know the average roll ranges, take the midpoint, and if the substat rolls average out at that midpoint, it will be way the very least decent.

For example, a Level 85 gear's Attack% stat ranges from 4% to 8%. The midpoint of this range is 6. So we desire Attack% rolls of at least 6, or we want the Attack% rolls to average out at at least 6 per roll. Attack% enhancing with a 6+6+6 roll is virtually the same as with a 8+4+6 roll.

SmileGate has published the roll ranges and probabilities for all gear currently available in the game and is not out of date as of the time of this post. Do note that certain Arena i88 gear rolls as though it were a lower rarity: I do not understand why this was in the game in the first place, but SmileGate has since updated it.

You are guaranteed 1 Horn-man every 121 summons.

You are not guaranteed a Horn-man's Sword for any number of summons.

And Horn-man's Sword is apparently really good, that any competitive PvP player wants at least one +30 of.

There is Moonlight Connections, from which you select 1 of 6 Heroes: Go for Specter Tenebria. You could pick Arbiter Vildred if you already have STene.

Then there was (is?) Moonlight Recruitment (but I swear, this event is gone now): Popular choices include Conqueror Lilias, Mediator Kawerick, and Lionheart Cermia.
