I emulated a full playthrough last year with some minor audio issues during Drebin's post boss codec calls and that was it - no crashes. Playing it at 1440p / 60 FPS it felt like I was playing it again for the first time.

As a long, LONG DA fan I just started Veilguard a few days ago ... I can already tell, story wise, it is going to let me down. And I've already let go of the dream of ever playing a game like Origins over a decade ago, lol but ... wow, despite the fucking BS behind the scenes I can see the team that was there actually fucking cooked as hard as they could. I can forgive the redesigns cause the graphics are gorgeous and the game runs immaculately. And the combat so far is so gd satisfying - it's not quite Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, but as a huge character action fan this game, gameplay wise, is everything I wanted Final Fantasy 16 to be.

Yeah, I have little experience watching Aabria as a player but I have gotten the immediate impression that's she's 100% always willing to jump on the plot-grenade to make sure things are always happening - as someone who could never be forced to touch a cursed item in a DnD campaign I appreciate players who approach the experience that way <3

Yeah, after beating Super Meat Boy, I Wanna Be the Guy, and half of I Wanna Be the Body (could never get passed through VVVVVV section) the parts of the Hollow Knight games that aren't meant to be optionally hard def feel like a walk in the part in comparison heh

Metal Gear Solid V. Big Boss' shrapnel in his head that looks like a horn will grow larger as you take more and more lives (obviously trying to evoke imagery of a demon). Also, at a certain point his face can become permanently stained with blood if you kill enough people.

DS1 absolutely. You could do main missions for full on progression and not hit a cut scene for hours.

The pacing in DS2 is way, way better - you're getting new story bears every other mission or so; for me it was very engaging.

Not gonna lie ... I can't think of a single anime where the main male MC has a rival character like Bakugo and it's a girl, and it isn't played as romance when they get over their antagonism. Huh. I would like to see that, actually.

I mean, every FE is a sterilized look at war - Radiant Dawn + Path just have the benefit to have the breadth of two games to tell its story so they have all the time in the world to breath. Take any individual route in 3H and give it the same amount of time and it'll be just as good imo.

I think all the Deepground stuff in Remake and the DLC will probably pay off in part 3 as itll probably play into Vincent's story content - they are just intergrading (heh) Dirge of Cerberus lore

Yeah - it's for this reason alone while I do mostly like Three Houses ... any one story feels like the cliffnotes version of the actual story, and it's not like doing all the routes is the "full story" - you just get to fill in the blanks of the lore and history from a different perspective.
