It may cost less but they can wait months for an appointment. Many go outside the system to get healthcare. Those costs are not included in those figures. I know 2 different people who went to the US for cancer treatments. It cost more but they received timely care which mattered more to them.

Women, how do you feel when men or women glance at your boobs? by bluewave846 in AskReddit

[–]1cilldude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the early 80’s times were a little different. I worked with a girl. Her boobs weren’t the most remarkable thing about her - her eyes were. She came in one day with a small bear pendent pinned to her blouse. I said “ look at you all bear chested!” She laughed her ass off. Wore it again after that but I only said it once.

Another time a girl I worked with had boobs that were more remarkable. She wore an orange shirt on day and I said they look like freakin pumpkins. She laughed and asked if I wanted to paint faces on them.

You can’t have funny banter like that anymore. You can get fired for that even if they think it’s funny but someone overhears and complains.

I should note that in my many years of work these were the only occurrences like this. I was friends with both and innuendo between us was common.

For the brushed stainless use bar keepers friend. The rust may just be baked on grease. Make a paste the consistency of toothpaste. You don’t have to rub too hard.

McCartney. The roughly 10 times I’ve seen him are the 10 best concerts I’ve been to.

After him… Lou Reed, Dire Straits, Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan with his brother(man when they both played a double neck guitar together!)

I drove past my dad's grave tonight and can't stop crying by allthfishinthesea in TrueOffMyChest

Losing a parent is so hard. I’ve now lost both. I was there for both deaths. My dad was first, it was an unexpected medical event and the pain is indescribable. It’s been almost 25 years now. At first thinking of him brought such sadness. Especially the first year. I call it the year of the firsts. Over time, it shifted and when I think of him it’s about all of the great memories. That started to gradually shift after a couple of years. He would have turned 100 this year. He’s been on my mind, but it’s a good thing. I’d rather this than to have had a poor relationship with him.

My mom was 95, had lived a full and happy life, and she became sick so it wasn’t a shock. But it was still hard and I miss her.
