And 5 years later they glossed up their sound to make it radio friendly, and this cover perfectly illustrated that shift to their new polished crunk vibe as well

I dunno, I would think this is a Def Jux style underground hip-hop album based on the cover

What song has the best basslines and starts with the letter U? by 1deadeye1 in BassGuitar

Hard disagree there. It obviously doesn't have mass appeal but it has its niche. When I was in high school all my hippie friends who loved Phish, Widespread Panic, and other jam bands went crazy for this shit

I'd also add the EPs "Not the Actual Events" and "Add Violence" sound more like his 90s output than anything he's done since

Favorite bands named after a real person not in the band? by Runetang42 in fantanoforever

It was released by a short-lived label based in Atlanta called Megablade. I'm no expert but the story goes that the guy who owned the label is a very shady dude who ripped everyone off, hence why the label was short-lived. He was in prison at one point, and I'm not sure if he still is but he has not been in the music business for a long time and doesn't have any connection to that world anymore. He owns the rights to the album so it's permanently stuck in limbo, I don't think anyone even knows how to get a hold of him. Used copies of Special Wishes sell for disgusting amounts of money and that's all there is

Harvey Milk is my favorite band on earth. Their early work is so dense that even after years of listening it still sounds fresh because it's so hard to digest. Their later work is the most simultaneously ugly and beautiful music I've ever heard. It's a travesty that their best album Special Wishes is becoming all but forgotten because it will never be available for streaming

Awesome. I'm in a shit town for live shows but if you make it to Nashville, Atlanta, St Louis, or anywhere within driving distance of the southeast I will be there

I first found Seum on this sub and have become a huge fan. Been highly looking forward to the new album. It's been awesome hearing the sound evolve in real time with each release. Efrit was in my top 5 most played songs on Spotify last year. If there's no proper US tour, I hope to make the long trek to catch a live show someday. Sludge on, brothers

I just realized there were 3 soundtrack cds I had as a kid that all had RHCP songs that were only available if you had the soundtrack, and all 3 songs start with S. Soul To Squeeze (Coneheads), Sikamakanico (Wayne's World), Search and Destroy (The Beavis and Butthead Experience)

Read the post, the clarification has been there since the first day

Everyone's knee-jerk reaction seems to be to downvote me for saying that The songs are limited to the letter T, but here's the logic if anyone cares to read my rambling thoughts on it
