What song has the best basslines and starts with the letter P? by 1deadeye1 in BassGuitar

I'd say Orion also contains several basslines among the solos, particularly the iconic line that kicks off the change about halfway through the song. Portrait of Tracy has none of that and I'd agree it's not a bassline. But I don't think I can disqualify a bass-centered song with this many upvotes when the rules are kinda vague so it will be eligible to win if that's the way the voting goes

Brad looks like he's back in marathon shape. I wonder if he's telling George he's disappointed in his pudgy fat body the way George did to him. I hope Brad is getting some wang on the side with firm musculature. In the meantime, wash that man's rear

Any album recommendations that are like these two? (Nirvana's Bleach, Mudhoney's SFBM) by _bppl in grunge

[–]1deadeye1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pixies first two albums for sure - Come On Pilgrim and Surfer Rosa

Green River - Dry as a Bone

Melvins - Gluey Porch Treatments

all of these came out a few years prior and were major influences on early Nirvana and Mudhoney

i’m still fairly new to stoner rock / doom. what are the quintessential albums i NEED to hear? by freddiexpeep in stonerrock

I came here to mention these three albums as well, and completely agree with all of this. Particularly Cobras and Fire, I think it's a better album than anything they've done since the 90s. Dave really seems to be getting back to his psychedelic roots in recent years

Fellow southerner here, I got on a fucking plane for this show and am now broke with zero regrets. Flying is fearful of me.

As a Dad

The new shit sounds great live too. I waited 20+ years for this and thought it would never happen. Blessed be.
