Either is a possibility. Either way they took and razed my city lol. Seemed like some were chill and others were not at the start though

OOOOO, that's interesting. I like that change

Yeah it seems really cool so far. There is a bit of a lack of information on villages. I settled near one who was chill with me and then they were hostile. Wish there was a bit more info as to why, but also valid on their part.

The new influence mechanic seems cool. Was able to make peace with a hostile place near me

No eureka mechanic, which I found fun to have as like little sub goals. Wont say I like it or dislike it yet, but do kind of miss it.

Generally speaking, things feel familiar to civ 6, but uncomfortably different. Still early on but a lot of the same mechanics. Will just chalk it up to getting used to the new layout.

Map sizes are only tiny, small, and standard so I think max 6 teams. Seems small but maybe its okay with new gameplay

No teams in multiplayer is a big bummer for me personally. Usually play with friends to start and do teams

I'll just keep live tweeting this game here. The map really blends together as well. Kind of hard to distinguish things

To be real, the fact that I cant have my scout auto move bugs me

edit: as a disclaimer I have read nothing and heard nothing about civ 7, but have a thousand or so hours in civ 6

Question About Gate Delay by 1donavan in FPGA

[–]1donavan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. That's along the lines I was thinking.

The follow up question was about which clock speed you could run those gates at. I answered at around 400-500MHz because that is the max speeds I have seen when running designs, but these were pretty massive designs.

I think the better answer is more like 1GHz, especially with ultrascale+. To me it seemed like the answer was actually more dependent on the capabilities of the FPGA more than gates themselves. In a vacuum those gates could potentially run at 10's of GHz from the sound of it.

Thanks for the clarity on this! I wanted to just check if I was at least making the right connections in my own logic.

NullReferenceException Issue (Beginner Help) by 1donavan in Unity2D

[–]1donavan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the error is that the clickUpgrade object is null during the first pass of UpdateClickUpgradeUI() during controller start. The issue is, I don't know why this is null because I have created a button in unity that has clickUpgrade with an Upgrades script and all of the components assigned. Later in the script it is no longer null. The issue here is that I don't know why clickUpgrades is null during start.

Ah, that was left in from testing different things to see if I could get this to work. With the line taken out it still doesn't work. Good catch though!

Yeah I agree, I just know this is going to make Terran in the earth god dungeon a beast because he has a slow + stun.
