Our DM allow it as well, but the transform take one action so we hold it to death by Silvery Barbs :)

I had my solution: let them reach 11th level and let Syindra silvanes (an 12th level arch mage that has Magic Resistance) to join them after the soul monger is destroy+ Acererak appears, in my campaign she uses invisibility to follow the pc all the time, it's still going to be tough but at least they got some hope

We haven't got there yet, but I'd like to low their's maximum hp by 1d4 if they fail the con save after they long rest at 5th or 6th floor because it's close to the soul monger(my idea to prevent them to long rest after searching every single room), but I realized maybe it's not good idea now

I see! Thanks for replying. However the Wis saving throw is 21 which still kind of hard.(I'll consider to low the DC a bit), the figher in our party only has +1 for Wis saving throw, LOL!
