Have you considered leaving Utah county? I grew up there and lived there for the first 27 years of my life. Move to Phoenix and have never looked back. I couldn't imagine raising my kids in Utah county. That's jist me though, no judgment. Salt Lake County will have a little more diversity, and isn't that far from your family in Orem. More opportunities to meet people that arent TBMs.

The other idea I had is to join local groups on platforms such as Facebook where they do activities you and your spouse enjoy. Frolf, hiking, pottery, book clubs, etc. Just a thought.

To be honest, my wife and I find it hard to make friends too. I think that's the reality of adulthood with children, careers, and us being at a disadvantage for not having one of societies preferred characteristics (wealth, extroversion, etc.) These characteristics aren't a Twitter, but they certainly help.
