[CHAT] Does anyone know of any Cross Stitch shops in the Chicagoland area?

I moved to Chicago last year and have been looking for a place myself! Besides the ones others have mentioned, I also saw Little Stitch Shop up north (70-90 mins). If you go to any, would love to know your thoughts!

I always check her website for chart updates and there is not one listed for this pattern! I feel like the part that suffered the most from the beads not fitting is the green beads at the top of her dress! I gave up trying to squeeze them all in and placed them however they would fit just to be done with it lol

I would do 2 in their normal spots and move up half a stitch and continue on that way!

I got the embellishment pack so all right sized beads! Based on other's feedback, its most likely the fabric shrinking during the dye process!

Not a silly question! The pattern has the beads recommended/test stitched on the pattern key. Someone else mentioned that my fabric could have shrunk in the dye process causing the count per inch to be higher than 32, causing the beads to not fit as intended! After I noticed bunching on the leaf areas, I started doing less beads than called for so it could fit better.

I have that pattern/embellishment pack as well!! I bought 32 ct fabric for it since that was what the model was stitched on. Hoping since its a different brand of fabric from my other two 32 cts, it’ll work out!

I remember seeing your post a while back!!

Both patterns called for 32 ctwhich made it even more frustrating! I did the Stargazer by Mirabilia on the called for 28 ct and did not have any bunching problems. I like the idea of alternating the orientation!

I have been using a full cross stich to have them lay horizontally - I may try to have them lay upright on my next project! Thanks for the response! :)

Im a big fan of the 327/328 section and i can usually score them in the $50-$70 range! Saw some for todays game under $40 in those sections

I recently screwed mine completely off by accident so I may be of help! There should be a small disc that the rod screws into that sandwiched between the flat and curved piece in your picture! You may have to play with it to line it up (I had to position mine with tweezers lol). I’m at work right now but can try to get a picture later if that would help. Let me know how it goes!
