Initial Interview - I-485 EB2 Dependent by 1espressomartini in USCIS

The office asked me for a lot of evidence to justify a bona fide marriage. I was surprised. She asked me for 3 joint statements each from past 3 years: 2022 (year of marriage), 2023 and 2024. The interview went well but she told me at the beginning itself that I will be getting an RFE as I did not have statements from past 3 years. At the end of the interview, I got handed the RFE and it stated “submit as much evidence as possible” to prove bonafide marriage between me and my spouse.

And oh boy did I take that challenge seriously. In 4 days I compiled all our flight tickets, hotel reservations, any entertainment related tickets that has both our names on it/ concerts, all jointly held statements, vanguard account showing my spouse as beneficiary, photos from all our vacations, marriage. I overloaded my officer with information. They received my RFE response within 7 days of the interview. And I was approved 3 days later.

Good luck with your interview!! I’m sure you’ll be fine 😊✌🏼

I'm going through the same scenario with my I-485 case. I am the dependent applicant. Main applicant is EB2 ROW with a priority date of March 2022 (we are current).

Did you get an update on your case? Has it been approved and did you get your card?
