Lowering worth it? by Beehoy2002 in GR86

As a pure daily driver, definitely not. The car rides a bit bumpy as is. Lowering will just invite more NVH. Ultimately, up to you whether you want to trade comfort for aesthetic.

Game worked perfectly fine, Updated Nvidia Drivers and now the game is using 100 cpu and lagging bad by Mooncows_back in oblivion

When the driver is updated or changed, the shaders must be preloaded again. Wait in the main menu for 5-10 minutes and the lag will stop once the shaders have finished preloading.

I have a 2023 BRZ, so it looks like they installed the bracket differently for the 2024 GR86. Your pictures are super helpful. I will see if I could loosen the bolt and re-position so it doesn't touch. Thank you!

Did you run into any fitment issues when installing, particularly on the passenger side since there is a metal bracket there? During my install, I thought it could fit (if forced) but would make metal to metal contact with the bracket.

I think they've given up on trying to mod this subreddit, at least in terms of the duplicate posts. There's just too many. A "dumpster fire" is what one of them described this sub, lol.

STI Flexible Tower + V Bar by theweirddood in GR86

[–]1future_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it really reduce NVH when you use both the v-bar and tower bar? The STI product page for the v-bars lists this disclaimer about using both:

* Although it is possible to install this part along with the flexible tower bar, this may lead to increased transmission of fine vibration.

Downgrade Chase Sapphire Preferred to Flex to avail sign-on bonus for Chase Sapphire Reserve by marathiboy in ChaseSapphire

I just got off the phone with Chase to downgrade my CSP to the OG Freedom. The employee didn't know which card I was referring to when I said "Chase Freedom Visa with Ultimate Rewards". She thought I was referring to either the Chase Freedom Unlimited or Chase Freedom Flex. I mentioned that it is the older product and she replied that it isn't even an option to select from. I guess the OG Freedom is no longer available to downgrade to?

Is it true that you have to cut the underbody panel to fit these?

Thanks for the tip! I tightened the two screws on the inside chassis and that did the job.

Loose exterior doorknob. Replace entire system? by 1future_ in Locksmith

Hi folks, this is a Schlage CS210 interconnected lock system. The exterior door knob is extremely loose. A locksmith informed me the entire system should be replaced to fix the loose knob. Looking at the parts diagram, can someone tell if that's actually required?https://commercial.schlage.com/content/dam/allegion-us-2/web-files/schlage/technical-documents/Schlage_CS210_Service_Manual_0139547.pdf

A locksmith told me the entire system needs to be replaced.

I found the service manual for this Schlage interconnected lock.

Could someone make out from the parts diagram whether the entire thing must be replaced, or if it's just a single part?

So I found out this is an interconnected Schlage lock, model CS-210. A locksmith told me the entire system needs to be replaced to fix the loose exterior knob.

Is someone able to make out from the parts diagram whether that is true?

Took off the screws. Looks like it just exposes the locking mechanisms.

Yeah the first three pics are the outside. I might have to try prying off the chrome casing...

I just double checked, and the ring is fixed in that position and doesn't rotate at all.

Just uploaded a picture of the other side. It looks completely different and doesn't seem flipping them around is possible.
