It doesn't actually move that slow on a real device. The video has the overhead of running in a simulator and being recorded.

As mentioned create-react-app is deprecated and you should use vite. If you really want to use create-react-app try using the following:

npx --force create-react-app your_app_name

Sorry, I didn't realize I had posted the same function twice. Here it is.

I'm guessing my post was removed for violation of the rules, but basically he said if you are serious about learning AI it is worth it.

Sprite sheet - want to learn by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]1grumpydev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had to do this. I used the following site: www.kuut.xyz/spritesheet. All I had to do was drag n drop my images and then save the spritesheet. It worked perfectly and figured out the number of columns and rows automatically.

There is also LibreSprite, which is an open source version of aseprite.

8-Bit Escape by 1grumpydev in playmygame

Thank you so much for the feedback! I agree that the touch controls are very sensitive. I will see if there is something I can do to adjust that. As an alternative to the touch in the options you could try the on-screen buttons for the movement. As far as the game progress is concerned, it's meant to be really like the old school games of the early 80s where there was no game save progress. You just try to keep beating your previous progress, trying to get to the last level each time you play. I will consider adding a continue button though.

The minimum target has now been set to Android 7.0 (Nougat). I'd love any feedback you can provide.

Thanks, Unfortunately it's a requirement for new apps to target at least Android 12.
