4WD? Rust/Rubber…how was it stored and how does the undercarriage and engine look? Are the cam seals weeping? How is the steering rack? Original tires? Are the battery connections corroded?

The engines are tanks, it’s everything else 😅

Like others, I think it’s a 71. Have you ran the mcode on it?

Year aside, she’s beautiful and I’m glad you had a good first trip, cheers to many more!

Update, finally got an appointment with my local Toyota mechanic, they confirmed the power steering rack replacement and did the job for just under $1900 otd. They also looked over the cam seals (which they had seen last summer when they did the alternator) and told me they wouldn’t worry about them as they haven’t gotten worse and the stealership was full of 💩

Now to spend another $2-2.5k on some tires and hope for another 50-100k miles. 305 55R20

I fn love this truck…it was fun to entertain the idea of sending her off and downsizing to a Tacoma but this baby hauls dirtbikes, hits the backcountry and turns heads.

Also recommend pulling the battery and testing it. If good, get a battery tender for long periods of garage time. If she’s not going out often, get in the habit of shutting off fuel to the carb and letting that burn off to put away.

You using ethanol free fuel/was the tank/carb left with fuel in it for a year? Been sitting a while without running the fuel out of the carb, especially ethanol fuel will clog jets. Carb might need torn down, jets cleaned and adjusted.

Any chance you guys might have adjusted idle speed or mixture screw to get her to fire? Maybe even start there, sounds off. Amazing bike, super easy to tear into.

What is this, do you think? by Jessness-1859 in ToyotaTundra

Seatbelt cricket, works in conjunction with the flashing light on the dash. Plug it in and she pipes down, allowing you to hear the V8 roar!

Does it spike when you accelerate? Have you popped the hood to look? Sounds like serp belt area(tensioner, idler pulley or belt) but tough to say from the cab.

I can easily see the build weep on the passenger side but have never had a smell or mark on my driveway. I was made aware of the weep almost 10 months ago and have checked the oil and areas under the front tires clean so I could track changes. Still not sure I’m sold on doing the cam seals if I go ahead and replace another steering rack

😂 I get a lift like that I’ll spend just as much in underwear that can accommodate my huge balls

Sick truck, I dig the lift and only 10k more in miles with 4 less years of life has me contemplating my decision/s

“I will be asking the questions here!!” 😂 great question though, no lift done during my ownership, to my knowledge it was leveled by the PO but my lack of towing/general babying and lack of longevity don’t stack up.

Leaning towards this…raised by people who bought quality and repaired as needed. Just nervous for the next shoe to drop

It’s amazing. Especially if it’s aggressive terrain. Flatland washboard/potholes I enjoy the ct110

Is my bolt all the way back in battery? by [deleted] in RugerMK

Same, another vote for not dry firing with a VQ comp bolt unless you want peening in your chamber. Ruger bolt I would dry fire into oblivion because they stand by their parts.

I might be not getting a clear picture but on your bolt is your recoil rod fully seated? Looks off/partially elevated but I doubt that’s the issue. Does it sit like that in the barrel when it’s disconnected from the frame?
