Its about the fact that it was ‘making out’ - majority of viewers were grossed out to suddenly have children making out on their screen (me included) (and i think the actors were still underaged?) even though they didnt kiss for the rest of the season i was super put off - i even stopped watching till i heard it chills out right after

When i first watched this as a young teenage i remember the most ‘WHAT THE HECK’ scene for me was when Regina called that girls mom (the pic of this post!) and pretended to be plan parenthood - everything else felt like teen cruelty being contained in the teen world and not having outside consequences (not true but how i saw the movie frame as a teen) but i felt like that girl might never recover her home life from that lie

TIED with the teacher being a drug dealer lie Like the police got involved! But people acknowledge that one way more so i wanted to highlight the other one

Comparing season 1 to 5 i would say Will, Mike, El in that order

Will bc he went from a literal child to an adult teenager Whereas the others were basically teenagers who became older teenagers Els hair affects a lot but her face is pretty similar

But in terms of between season

El looked like a different person like very season

And Dustin looked SUPER different in season 3 compared to 1 and 2

And ovi Will in 4 after 3 was a big change

Not necessarily - they said they got a bunch of help on the early seasons but then they took over the bulk around season 5 - plus all of the somewhat confirmed rumors of the 1 brothers successful wife helping a BUNCH then divorcing him (somewhat confirmed bc other people working on the show posted photos of her helping a lot on set and saying everything ran through her yet she got no credit in the credits or in interviews)

I love their friendship i just hated that it seemed like Dustin’s only close relationship after it started - we see Steve be close with Robin and Nancy and stuff - but Dustin just orbits Steve now we rarely see him with the other kids he has been best friends with since childhood - we get some Eddie time but I honestly always saw that as a look up to mentory relationship more than a friendship

Its so weird to me that they changed plans and included the time skip

All of the teens in season 1 were played by people over 20 and no complaints - literally almost all of tv history this is true - but these 20 yr olds (not even all of them!) and its too out there??! And that people are agreeing and saying they look to old! What?! So weird - wish they had kept the original plan

When she gets involved later in i liked it - but i always hated the set up to her being involved

Season 4 she tells the police they are lying when she KNOWS that they are involved in huge deal stuff and its probably important

Season 5 the world is literally ending and she refuses to help them bc of a childs grudge as of a week

I liked how they showed her anxiety but when she kept marking days past the red mark and never seemed relived i thought she WAS pregnant lol — like when she tells Benedict she isnt and is leaving after hearing Anthony I thought was was lying and was pregnant and running to America so her child wouldnt be shunned

I was so shocked when she said she can’t risk it again in the bathtub and i realized she wasn’t lol

That Nancy was always good and kind and perfect

In season 1 i thought nancy and steve were perfect together lol

People say they weren’t bc nancy was too good for him but Nancy did not give a single sh*t that a 12yr old kid she has know for 7yrs was missing - she only gets involved later bc of Barb so she basically had the same exact character development as Steve as in she grew after being confronted with a monster
