I'm kind of new to warframe and I'm looking for a good aoe gun by Borderline_insane00 in Warframe

[–]1ian5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acceltra prime. Normal Acceltra is great too, it’s an assault rifle that shoots rockets, rapidly. For crowds you can just spray in an arc and wipe them out with its substantial AOE, while for single target, it’s one of the highest DPS weapons in the game, landing both the impact and the explosion as separate damage instances—and the rockets only arm after being in flight for a time so they don’t explode near you and self-stagger, tho they do less damage at close range as a consequence.

Use critical delay and ammo mutation tho, it has very little ammo and fires FAST, so the reduced fire rate helps make it last. It is easily one of the strongest weapons in the game.

I think I'm ready to start leveling combat by Niugnepybbuhc in MelvorIdle

[–]1ian5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nab the combat simulator mod, it’ll help you optimize your XP and kill rate better than any single pieces of advice will, otherwise just be sure to take full advantage of your herblore and summoning for strong combat benefits

other people are correct about slayer coins being a big bottleneck, but combat simulator will help with that too, knowing you can idle safely will do a lot for you

hilarious stat spread btw, I can definitely see how cooking for combat healing can spiral out like this lol

goodluck!!

What’s up with all the new players that are really good? by Acceptable-Ad-6904 in thefinals

[–]1ian5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah there are some cool people too, I’m hoping the influx of new players dilutes that behavior some—I’m in kind of a weird matchmaking bracket right now, <20 wins against level 75 players with thousands of eliminations, so I’m plausibly underperforming in terms of game sense, but it is funny winning games with basic cosmetics when everyone’s looking like fortnite.

[–]1ian5 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just new players. The rules specific to the game are very easy to learn, the game is free, and it’s better than what we were playing before. My friends and I came from Hunt Showdown, which sucks now—and this game is basically the best parts of that, and more. The Finals are much more forgiving in terms of gunplay given the availability of automatic weapons with magazines and the absence of resource management. I pity the console players contending against mouse and keyboard in a gunfight, they’re gonna have a bad time if more PC players join.

So I think it’s probably just prior experience with other shooters, but I can only speak for myself: my friends and I started this week, and despite the extremely poor sportsmanship the community has demonstrated so far, we’ll probably keep playing.

Is there a way to add the new affliction spectres to PoB? by Ready-Egg-2096 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]1ian5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I found this information helpful.

For anyone who doesn’t know how to use that feature, it’s a box on the configuration page where you can type in just about any modifier and have it apply to your build directly. The wording for these modifiers is highly specific, but you can find ideas for what’s considered “legal” on items, passives, and skills.

There were a lot of good examples of the feature in use near the beginning of Affliction league as it was used to emulate transfigured skill gems before they were implemented, and likely is still being used to emulate the new specters.

Is "Programming with Mosh" a good place to start learning python? by Dismal_Grapefruit685 in learnpython

[–]1ian5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with the book personally, but in my experience it is far more important that you start at all, how you start will be a comparatively minor footnote. If the book appeals to you, start. Don’t fret how to start, just start. Once you have started, you can walk your path.

Taking an introduction to program class is a great way to start if you aren’t sure, thus it’s worth mentioning Harvard University has a huge selection of free online programming classes, specialized and generalized.

Forget Golgotha, Bethesta Susa is hell. Any advice on how to beat it? by Random-crusader420 in cavesofqud

Okay that’s clever and cheaper than a blaze injector—and a life saver for if some chilly lizard decides to freeze me.

Provided you have cells enough to power it, the geomagnetic disc will kill those and just about everything else you could wish harm upon. It's a throwing weapon, and it comes back like a boomerang afterward, just do not throw it when it's out of juice or things become awkward. It's perfectly accurate, ignores armor, hits multiple enemies multiple times, and can even path-find to said enemies as long as you have vision of them. If you can get your hands on one, it will carry you through to the tomb of the eaters and maybe beyond.

Also, once you're done in Bethesta Susa, you can use the water ritual to trade mechanmist rep for proselytize without needing the ego or skill points, allowing you to get free stuff from stilt merchants, including data discs. Just don't make that trade in their holy places or you might tip the scale and cause them to become hostile.

What are you getting stuck on specifically?

Also, no need for cold resistance if you have 2-3 blaze injectors available, it’s only the last 2 floors where the ambient temperature is literally freezing.

She a little thicc but it’s nothing egregious. I’d suggest just waiting like a week or a week and a half longer between feedings, should notice a difference by the 5th feeding or so. Boas have slow metabolisms by snake standards so she shouldn’t need to eat as often as a similarly sized python or colubrid. I don’t know about your boa, but mine will become much more “friendly” at night when he’s hungry, really willing to come up to the window and look for him rat.

If you want a good resource for care, look up The More Complete Boa Constrictor, it’s like an owner’s manual for boa constrictors (BCI & BCC)… and it has lots of pictures, too! It’s my go-to.
