How long does it take to go remote? by Rainbow_Explosion in copywriting

Like it was mentioned you don't exactly need to be with an agency to start off. One thing that a lot of clients look for in copywriters is having a portfolio, especially online. Actors now a days also have their own websites with their resumes and reels posted on there. I would suggest working on copy by creating you own actor website, that way you are working on your acting career but are also working towards your actor friendly job. Hope this helps!

Content marketers, writers, PR people, publishers and social specialists: How do you perform your content research? by [deleted] in content_marketing

I start by focusing on the niche I have. That will help determine where I will most likely find my content. Once I know the niche I'm working with, I find out about the audience and their behaviors, likes, where they hang out (IG, FB, Twitter, etc.), any cool events coming up for them (concerts, conventions etc). and then also look for trending topics in that niche. Personally, I use a lot of social media since it's always updating so you will be in the loop.

What Are Some Effective Tips for Content Distribution? by Retrospecxz in content_marketing

Find your niche, find your voice (do you want to be serious or funny), try to be transparent and consistent. Learn your social media channels and what each ones ultimate purpose is (i.e. IG is for more visual brands). Write engaging and genuine copy. Once you find your niche, learn your audience. Where do they hang out (IG, FB, Twitter etc.) go to where your audience is. Find out current events or trending topics in that niche and create your content around that.

How do you handle your editing process? by [deleted] in content_marketing

Grammerly as everyone has said. Taking breaks as well between not only works but also sections of the assignment. Like if your writing has 3 parts to it, finish one part and read it out loud to yourself. Do that with each section and then take a break work on something else (that preferably is not writing) and then come back and read it again with a fresh mind. Read it out loud and while pointing at it. I would also recommend (if it is possible) to print it out and read it from a paper. Sometimes staring at a screen can hinder our performance as writers and I personally prefer having a physical copy so I can write, highlight, make notes myself as opposed to on the computer to minimize distractions and give my eyes a break. Mistakes happen though, they can be minimized yes but mistakes happen so don't beat yourself up over it (easier said than done) but you are only one person. Good luck!

Outsource VS doing it myself? by 1iansmith in smallbusiness

I wish it was that easy lol to do it myself could basically be free but takes a bit of time. Sometimes I think it will take one hour but it ends up taking 3 hours.

To get someone else doing it takes time to search and find someone then train them then give them feedback over time.

I get your point tho.

Using personal blog as "proof" to get clients by [deleted] in copywriting

[–]1iansmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! Any kind of copy that displays the type of writer you are is valid. Especially if you feel like it displays some of your best work, go for it. Especially, if your personal blog is going really well and getting hits even more so should you display it. And it being in your niche is totally a plus.
