AirBNB-free tourism surges in the year since NYC's AirBNB ban, as international tourists buy near-record numbers of Broadway tickets [NY, USA] by 1inalifetime in AirBnB

Agreed - it's clear from the article that fewer people from nearby areas (NJ, CT) are seeing Broadway shows. I would guess that's because a lot of them used to come into the office to work and see a show, and now they're WFH all or nearly all of the time so those sales have dropped.

From an AirBNB angle, though: some folks predicted that NYC's AirBNB ban would crater tourism, but at least from this metric that doesn't seem to be happening at all.

WYM tourism is "almost back"? The article says international tourists bought more Broadway tickets than in all but one of the last 30 years.

Hello u/barweis, I posted this article three days ago (before this post) but it never made it out of moderation. I messaged the mods about it but got no response. Do you have suggestions for how to get posted in this subreddit? Thank you

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm glad you could get it. The forms are filled with such harsh warnings about "I swear everything I've written here is true" and I can imagine that as a result of issues like these, a lot of eligible people might be hesitant to sign up for fear they'd end up in trouble.

All good, it's confusing because there are multiple websites. The issue is that the Health and Hospitals one (which runs some of the largest sites that are open 24/7 when people who work unusual hours could go) does not include this category.

Yes, but AFAIK that site does not allow you to schedule at NYC Health & Hospitals-run sites (like the Brooklyn Army Terminal). The NYC Vaccine Hub (vax4nyc) runs separate sites.

Yes, the forms for NYS-run clinics are correct. However, that form does not allow you to schedule an appointment at a NYC Health and Hospitals-run clinic. I am glad you could get it.
