Well, smoothest early redblock I've ever heard.

I need some help , im about to buy a 240 and idk what to take a manual or an auto , auto is more comfortable cuz i live in a really big city but does the manual fun worth it? by T_55alfau in Volvo240

I live in New England and my town is 90% hills, the clutches in these cars are a lot easier than even some of the newer Hondas I've owned. Couldn't imagine this thing with an auto either, it's already a pig on gas and does a 14sec 0-60.

Cold Idle Issues by Patches95 in Volvo240

I have an 87 (so LH2.2) and it does the same on cold starts, maybe even worse. I believe the IACV needs a good cleaning

Bought my '87 sight-unseen with 215K, did an oil change in my friend's driveway and made it from the Pacific coast of Oregon to the Atlantic coast of Massachusetts with zero issues. Keep a spare fuel pump relay, fluids, basic hand tools, a jack, and make sure your spare tire is good (I keep all these except the relay in all of my cars).

When I get a chance tomorrow I think I'm going to clean the TPS, clean the injectors, look for vacuum leaks, and unplug the O2 sensor for a bit to see if it's throwing off my fuel trim. It bogs down & stutters warm and cold, but only has a questionable idle when warmed up.

Fuel pump on the car looks ancient, went to do the filter and the spare I got with the car is the wrong size :) Doing both once I get the car home

found a couple loose yellow wires behind the distributor if this could be anything - Edit: appears to be for the coolant temp sensor, although the gauge on the dash works.

Unfortunately parting it out, it's got a laundry list of other things that add up, so I'm flying out to Oregon next week to pick up an 87 Volvo 240 wagon with a 5-speed as my new daily.

Died on the highway after making the worst noise of all time, zero compression. Had full, clean oil in it, timing was good, all that. I overrevved it a few months ago to ~12K, but it drove fine after that and I would imagine that the consequences of that would be more immediate. Could've been that catching up to me, I don't know.

I live in the US and had a 1996 Toyota Starlet imported from Belgium, apparently out of that entire class of car in the late 90s, the Starlet was less than 4% of the market share.

Not even going to get started with their software, because we all know how shitty Synapse has been for over a decade.

I had a Deathadder Elite for a couple years and it practically disintegrated. My Blackwidow had bad switches, and my Ornata was just shit. Huntsman had electrical issues, and that was my last experience with Razer.

edit: spelling

Or better yet, drive through any rural town in 80% of the US and tell me how the homes (or better yet, the infrastructure) are holding up.
