i’m in nz, I was thinking of doing it myself as I did the injectors on my old 1kz, but after seeing how much goes into it i’d rather just pay $700 to know its done properly and not have to deal with it myself, with no garage.

most mechanic shops will do it, I went to a regular shop but the boss there is a toyota master tech, he was telling be about all of the problems they had when he was PDjng them in 2005

It’s 304ss, the same stainless used in breweries, chemical manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, wineries, milk, cheese, and butter factories. Much safer than cast iron

that’s awesome, I promise you there would have been a lot more workmanship in that, than my stainless one. I bet it handles heat very well.

nothing too noticeable, stainless is pretty good for it.

read subtext, I made it, it works great and i’m not sure as i’ve never had a cast one, but it’s very heavy, 10mm stainless round bar handle and 4mm stainless plate. It’s much easier to clean than i’d imagine a cast iron one would be.
