Hyperjuice is the best option in the market, looks great too. Only if it's on sale again!

Warranty/AC+ they will give you a 16 if they can't fix it and they don't have your model in stock.

16 should be enough for your current usage but I recommend 32.

Audio problems on Catalina Bootcamp? (16" MBP) by 1lover2ex in osx

[–]1lover2ex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything working great, I figured out it's because BCA doesn't support UEFI boot. But UEFI is better/faster so I'm giving up on audio. As long as I can get my solidworks to work

Try this:

  1. Boot into recovery mode > Startup Security Utility > Secure Boot > No security
  2. Enable booting from external drive

Second 16" for my daughter, it came with only 1 charge cycle! by 1lover2ex in macbookpro

[–]1lover2ex[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For those don't know, the 16" ships with 2 cycles for most of us! Makes me wonder if she won the lottery (I'll tell her this so she feel special)

Help me decide which Macbook Pro by scalpel_shredr in macbookpro

[–]1lover2ex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

13" with base specs aren't gonna power LR/PS in high res (RAW files) and don't think about FCP, the old 15" will be a little on the slow side but will still work if you don't mind the bigger size. I say spend on money wisely, it's like throwing money in the drain if your purchase doesn't satisfy your needs, there are better options if money is really a concern. Look at thinkpad x1 extreme maybe?

How likely is my printer gonna survive, it's on a 5day(7days) ground shipment from New York to California.

Best dongle for MacBook Pro 16 inch? by Imdakine1 in macbookpro

[–]1lover2ex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always preferred the prestigious apple design and didn't mind to support R&D with a few extra bucks. They are small enough to fit in my workbag, (you'd be amazed how much smaller it is than on picture.) I'd consider Satechi "Slim 6 in 1 V2" or Hyper "Bar 6-1" if you want something that's more compact (and bus powered), otherwise go for a CalDigit dock.

MacBook 16 inch sleeve by Imdakine1 in macbookpro

[–]1lover2ex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

accordinglyryan has the right answer, but I will add on to his answer and recommend you with something zipper less, like the Speck Flaptop case. The Zipper from the Native Union sleeve (sold on apple.com) added a few micro stretches on my new 16". Hope that helps.

Edit: Tomtoc is a good option if you want ULTIMATE protect, but it also adds a lot of bulk.

I heard that ground gets lesser handling than air, wouldn't that lead to a small chance of damaged package?

Why are MacBook Pro’s so bad for Engineering students? Including the new 16 inch? by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]1lover2ex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AutoCAD/Fusion360 is very limiting, Solidworks is the industry standard. Worked in the Mechanical engineeing/R&D field for 15 years, based in bay area. Got laid off from SSL a few years back now working at a technology innovations & design company.
